Actually people target female tourists who are alone quite often...they're an easy mark.

Single women are targeted everywhere at anytime. I'm just saying if she wants to do something don;t let all these negative ideas cloud your mind. If she's going to a big city I'm sure she'll know how to conduct herself. Now if she's talking about going into the amazon or some shyt, I'd say yeah- take extra precaution and don't go alone.

I've always wanted to travel by myself but I don't think it's a safe thing for women to do. You men are lucky.

I travel solo, out of the country 3-4 times a year.....
It is somewhat more risky than males traveling alone but if you take your necessary precautions, you will be just fine....

yeah you just have to be smart about it, ala dont get drunk, watch your drinks. WHen I was in cuba i was , at the amount of single women travelling by themselves.

I mena as a woman you have to be more aware, that backpacking and staying at hostels :kony:, but staying in touristy areas being sober, not walking down the alley at night by yourself you'll have nothing to worry about.

I try to make sure I google map routes from hotels to bars...
I also prearrange travel (i.e. cab rides) with a licensed car service...

I have different travel interests.... so I am not drunk clubbing every night... I definitely am always aware of my surroundings...

@LovelyDay Being a solo female traveler attracts a lot of good and bad attention....but not to the point where you shouldn't do it...
