The Yay
shanny is a soft coach. his ZBS is great but I dont trust him. plus his years in washington were big time scandal years.
I didnt like how he treated RGIII situation and I absolutely hated how he trusted cutler in the first place in denver and let him throw those picks without scolding him for that

it was a terrible situation where he kept pouring gasoline on the fire, i wouldnt want a guy like that as hc. he buckled under the pressure

i love his zbs and bootlegs, thankfully if thats what the niners want they can go get kubiak who runs the same system

None of the names I'm hearing impress me, but at this point there's 3 potential candidates I like

Gary Kubiak
Vic Fangio
Mike Holmgren

Unfortunately I think Tomsula is the leading candidate followed by McDaniels and Gase

I know we all expected it, but Tomsula is officially getting an interview;

http://www.ninersnation.com/2014/12/30/7464979/49ers-head-coach-candidates-jim-tomsula-interview

In news that will surprise nobody, Jim Tomsula is going to interview for the San Francisco 49ers head coaching job, according to Jason LaCanfora. Tomsula has been the team's defensive line coach for the last eight years, and has been among the more popular people in the 49ers organization. He previously was a head coach and defensive coordinator in NFL Europe. And of course, he is the only undefeated coach in 49ers history, thanks to his one game as interim coach at the end of the 2010 season.

Tomsula has been on the radar for this position for much of this year as the Jim Harbaugh speculation has swirled. There have been reports he has angled for the job for some time. There has never been full confirmation of that, but it has been mentioned. On Monday, Jed York repeatedly used the word "teacher" in describing the kind of coach he was looking for. He cited Bill Walsh as an example of a coach who was great because he could teach both players and coaches.

These owners are always quick to fire good coaches but replacing them with trash.

brehs, what are we doing with Borland next year and in the near future? He's too valuable of a piece to be sitting on the bench

also, apparently we looked into a trade to get ODB in the draft

http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/baalke-price-too-high-49ers-trade-beckham

Baalke disclosed that the Giants’ asking price included picks in the a first, second and third rounds “and maybe something on top of that.”

“In essence,” Baalke said, “you would have been giving up (defensive back) Jimmie Ward, you would have been giving up (center) Marcus Martin or (linebacker) Chris Borland, and you would have been giving up (running back) Carlos Hyde, plus somebody else. So maybe you’d have given up three, young, quality players to go get one."

:childplease: no thanks
