Meanwhile you can't even read the paper you're asked to fetch every morning.

you dont understand

dark skinned people have held a grudge for hundreds of years BECAUSE of what T/s said in the thread title :ehh:

from birth they have been groomed into despising lighter skinned black folks

dark skin folks ive found on average are also 10x more likely to say racist things about other people be it white, spanish, asian or even other black folk

its a sad and confusing thing

It is sad and very confusing.

On one hand it's, "Obama ain't black, he's biracial" only depending on who is saying it.

If it's a black person you are more likely to get an agreement or at least an understanding.

If any non-black person utters those words it's "He's black, you think those white crackkkers think he's white, he'd get lynched like everyone else" :merchant:

It just reinforces my point how most black Americans hold onto to the one drop rule for dear life because they understand the ramifications if bi-racial people got their own "bracket". A lot of history would be lost.

Also for black women with two black parents, it must be tough knowing that whenever "best looking women" lists come out only a handful are actually black and the others are actually bi-racial.

Beyonce being the most fully black on those lists.

Halle? Nope

Paula Patton? Nope

So much to this discussion breh it's crazy. The complexion thing is just icing on the cake.

Are you coming across a point here? A few posts ago you chastised the darker skinned black men on here for referring to their appearance and how easy it is for them to get women instead of focusing on achievements then you turn around and do the same thing with black women. Darker skinned black women may not be regarded as the most beautiful women in comparison to biracial "black women" but we have achieved just as much if not more. Last I checked Oprah, Gabby Douglas, Condoleeza Rice and Michelle Obama aren't biracial.

I agree with you but it's naive to believe this is actually what is valued in the larger Black American culture. A woman's value is largely based on her appearance. I don't agree with it, but it's true. Gabby Douglass story in particular being picked on about her hair. Although overblown still a story. Oprah's weight fluctuation. Condoleeza Rice and Michelle Obama and images of apes. And it's quite interesting that you mentioned Condoleeza Rice when she has all been excommunicated from being black. No public outcries when she was called everything under the sun, now she is suddenly "claimed by black women"? :rudy:

My point was bi-racial women pose a threat to full black women in the look departments when they are classified as black, but black women would never give up the privileges of being lumped in or latching on to some of the most beautiful women in the world.

We aren't talking about appearance, we're talking about achievements, at least that is what you've indicated in most of your previous posts in this thread. Fact remains that full African American women have had no issues in achieving black excellence for the last few decades. As for your point, yes in a white dominated society black women will never be regarded as the standard of beauty. This isn't new. Then again Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks are recognized as the most successful black supermodels in the world, are they bi-racial?

I was speaking specifically to the male aspect of bi-racial/light skin brothas because men are judged on their achievements, outside of black men who base their value strictly on their penis. That hasn't worked out so well. :pachaha:

I didn't deny that full black Americans don't achieve excellence. My point is obviously the achievements of so few aren't enough for black Americans to stop claiming bi-racial people because they have visibly achieved higher than full black Americans.

:heh:

So you have no choice but to claim black because white people wouldn't? This is becoming fun for me. Why would white folks claim Obama? He has a black father.

How many white people can identify with someone who has a black father?

I would suspect not many, but for some reason black people can identify with a man who has a white mother. :whoo: "Brotha" if you don't see the sickness of that you lost.
