But "his" mom and relatives are black, so does nothing come from that?

In effort to protect their Black son, they shelter him from his own Blackness, socialize him around white children via the predominately white schools they send him to. Even if he does live in a predominately Black neighborhood, he spends most of his time indoors on a video game or on the internet because his parents don't want him to socialize with the other Black children in the neighborhood.

These parents have good intentions but it negatively affects the child's Black experience.

HA. HAHA. HAHAHA

Black men do not need to change who they are in order to appeal to black women. Those who do end up taking the value out of their hands and placing it in her hands. That's how they get hurt. Because now they no longer see themselves as a priority and they are looking for the woman to accept them and give him value. fukk that. Never, ever let a woman determine how you look, how you are, where you are on the totem pole, etc.

Those who stay true to themselves are simply going after the wrong kind of black woman. They are going after the black woman that wants REAL nikkaS (LOL), SWAG, (LOL) and all the other bullshyt you read on here from coli chicks and in social media. What they need to do is target black woman who share the same interests as them, the same sense of humor, etc. They may have to change the environment they are at in order to find this girl that is right for them. Whether it's shopping at Target instead of Wal-Mart, or being around bigger productive environments, or simply through a trial and error mode where they approach those until they find the right one.

I've met a few guys like that here in college. some people at a party I was at actually commented on this one guy like that(black house party) his speech patterns and what not, but his friends are black and he is in one of the black groups on campus specified by major. but the black community here is pretty close knit, not too many tokens running around with all white friends, so your mileage may vary elsewhere:yeshrug:

He's gotta point tho. Black and white people communicate completely different

This shouldn't even be debatable in my opinion. Black people can't speak to white people the way we speak to Black people without white people becoming confused or eventually losing context.

Our colloquial language, African American Vernacular English, is very complex and nuanced.

it's just the facts.
