Can't co-sign this fukkery.

As a man you have to figure sh*t out. That's what we do. Everything ain't gonna be handed to you on a silver platter.

Some dudes will grow up in a hood environment that "game" will be taught at an early age and they can excel, but education and financial literacy aren't taught.

Some dudes will grow in a middle class environment that education and business savvy is taught, but swagger and "mouthpiece" are not stressed.

A few will grow up in environments that both are taught, and a few will grow up in environments where neither is taught.

Regardless, it doesn't matter. You are in control of your own destiny, and regardless of what is being taught to you, you seek knowledge and learn things on your own.

Damn, ni**as want to be spoonfed sh*t and it don't work like that.

...

Um...no the argument is Black men who watch too much White media...will become Whitewashed...and less Black...you attacked Black men's Blackness.

Like your argument is similar to the argument that if straight kids watch gay shyt on TV...they'll turn gay.

LOL you just a dumb motherfukking troll that repeatedly make dumb fukking arguments...

that's what you're taking from the argument and I have no control over that so we'll agree to disagree.

Black people are Black whether they're raised in an all Black environment or if they're adopted into a white family where they're the only Black person present. The difference is that the Black person raised in an all white household will have a more difficult time communicate and connecting with Black people who were raised in a traditional Black environment, it doesn't suggest that the person is "less Black".

It definitely counts but I think that just leads to the insecurity they have later on in life. They don't know how to socialize with black people unless it's family. When they get older they realize they are out of touch with their own people
Good point I see what you mean especially knowing a lot of black people like this

it's not difficult, send your child to a predominately white school and if you live in a predominately Black neighborhood, keep your kids inside and let them play videos games and surf the internet.

There's no way to determine how many parents do this without taking a survey.
Ok I see what you're saying now but both black men and women can turn out like that, not just men.

Well men aren't entitled to shyt except death. Isn't that right?

no one, male or female, is entitled to anything, doesn't stop them from believing they are.

Ok I see what you're saying now but both black men and women can turn out like that, not just men.

I agree, I'm just trying to scale back on speaking on behalf of Black women because their voices on their experience should be prioritized.

Yall acting like black women are some newly discovered species :dahell:

Just fukking talk to one and if they reject you, move on, its not that deep:dahell:
It's deeper than that. I've noticed it as well, there are vocal cadences shared by people who grew up in Black communities, especially lower-class Black communities, speech patterns, references, "signifyin" in a specific way.
This has already been noted before in Black academia.
It doesn't mean you can't pull a Black woman as a Black man, it just means there are social constructions that may create a chasm between you two, if you grew up in different environments.
I was in and out, so I have the comfort in both, but you can't pretend it isn't somewhat noticeable.

Good thread concept. 5* dap
