League won’t be the same without him.

Crazy that I remember him being that guy who backed up Scott Dreisbach at Michigan and he ended up playing 22 seasons and being the undisputed GOAT QB.

Definitely in the elite pantheon of memorable athletes in my lifetime.

So the Eagles get the dubious honor of being the last team he beat, huh… :martin:

I can’t believe he’s truly gone. And I don’t think I’ll really believe it until the next season starts and he’s not there. I still kind of expect him to show up next year. I ignored all the rumors because, to me, it just feels like Brady will play in the NFL forever.

I started watching the NFL around 2003-ish and Brady’s unending dominance, countless championship and Super Bowl appearances, and general status as the GOAT QB became so routine to me that I just took it as a given every year. I’ve never known a version of the NFL without him, and his presence was ubiquitous in a way that other HOF QBs of the time (Favre, Manning, Warner, etc.) just weren’t.

It’s exciting seeing a new generation of guys like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, etc., come into the league and take over without him. And the playoff picture will get so much more interesting now that you can’t count on whatever team Brady is on to make the postseason essentially by default. But it still feels sad in a way, just knowing it’s all over. End of era, brehs… :wow:

I started getting into football for real when I was like 10. Same year as his first SB win. I remember Brady coming in for Bledsoe early in that season and rooting against him and the Pats from that Super Bowl on out. Dude has been a super villain for 2/3 of my life. Truly the GOAT

I basically saw two years of football without Brady, '99 and '00. 90% of my football watching experience was Brady as a starting QB...

I never had much reason to root against him, I did want him to lose all his Super Bowls besides the first one and the last one because I liked someone else better, but I never had a real "hatred" for Brady...
