How come there's no noise when jimmy plays like ass!?

Jimmy had his 1st bad game this season tonight and was cleary struggling vs wiggins.He's been the most consistent player this season.1 bad game don't deserve criticism it happens

There are several nights where niko snell even mcdermott has taken more shots than rose and all he has been doing is driving and kicking, people are coming and going, is it he not aggressive enough, or does he need to pass more?! He seems to always find pau , because pau gets to his spots, niko had been hanging around the 3pt line and taking bad shots, that has nothing to do with rose.

Not to say I think rose could not play better himself, just saying the team should have been constructed to not have to rely heavily on him to carry the team. But every time one of the a games shows up, everybody looking at rose and not at the fact we have a lack of raw talent. Rose carrying us was cute in 2011 , we were supposed to be waaay past that. All these issues were supposed to be thibs fault, well new year, same story smh

I hear you. It just seems like Rose can't discern how an individual game is shaping up and adjust accordingly. Some night we might need 30 from him (like the OKC game where he took over down the stretch), other nights he needs to get other guys going. I'm just afraid he's never going to be that guy that can consistently sense the flow of the game go from there. He's either way too passive or way too aggressive. At least he's toned down the 3 point attempts, although I wish he'd cut that out completely.

I'm on record to say , rose should be playing better. But we should not be needing herculean efforts from rose to get past minny. And if we do need that we are really pitiful. Jimmy shoots bad, niko fouling stupid 1 for his last 13 from 3, but for them you can hear a rat piss on cotton smh.

This was a team failure, not just a rose failure, and now early in this season we have already suffered 2 pitiful loses to bum teams and the way the east is, a few games could be the difference between 2nd seed and 6th seed. We need to be getting wins especially with the schedule cupcake soft and knowing the circus trip is coming soon. How long do we watch games like this take place before we realize we need some additions and subtractions, or will we just once again hang it all on rose?

Both of those things go hand in hand.

He opens up the floor/demands more defensive attention when he's being aggressive, which also in turn counterbalances when the rest of the squad are going through scoring droughts. Like I said the other day, he doesn't need to drop 30, he just needs to be consistent with his effort. He can't afford to sit back and let the team cook, because them scoring and developing any sort of a rhythm is predicated on him generating offense. If your main ball-handler is cruising through the game, more often than not so will the rest of the team.

That OT was pretty poor on his part, he could see that dudes had been struggling to score in the 4th quarter yet didn't do much to help out.

Don't matter if it's a garbage or elite squad, on a night where your role players bummin it up, you'd hope your main guys step up and bury these nikkas. Rose/Jimmy jus ain't have it tonight.

I don't know if it's because he missed time at the start of the season and his legs aren't there yet or all the injuries or he's struggling to balance when to be passive or aggressive but it's starting to look like he just ain't got the gas at the end of these games. Been that way since the offs last year. nikka don't even cut to the basket off the ball anymore

15-20 more games should give us a better idea of where he's at

That 1st year thibs teams was deep with specialist, korver a 3pt shooting specialist, but most importantly defensive guys who clicked and took the team defense to heights not seen since the jordan era , deng, a younger noah, taj, asik, brewer, bogans, that bench mob was special defensively. And rose level of play went to heights not seen here since jordan. Now looking at this roster, what is the likelihood that can get closed to being duplicated when thibs had at his disposal the kind of players to help his system work, but outside a few players we don't have the raw talented offensive players to make hoiball go to the top, and we likely will not see rose get to that level, at least not this season.

And 2

We saw this story all last season, and made excuses for it, ultimately hanging all the blame on thibs, so at what point do we realize this is not some new phenomenon, this is not the 1st time this roster has played together like it was in 2010 under thibs year 1, and admit this Is just what we are?

I'm not even saying they can't get better, I'm simply asking the question, how many more times are we supposed to see this showing in year 2 of this roster before we realize this roster don't fit and is not good enough?

Yea I know the situations are different but my point was give them more time under this system they still tryna figure out the best rotations and be looking confused on the offensive end at times + the bulls defense still suspect.They should of won tonight tho they were just missing everything

I'm saying tho...a lot of people ate up the whole "who's team is it" narrative that the media put out there

That waved off 3 point play approximately at the 3:09 mark in the 4th QT from Pau to Jimmy that would've put the Bulls up by 6 did them in. Still, these dudes are not running Fred's offense like they're supposed to - especially in that OT.... His offense is predicated on movement & pace and it's a thing of beauty when it's done right. It's not iso's and purposely slowing down the pace to run halfcourt sets. Them youngins' wore these boys down at the end as the Bulls let them hang around all game.

Am I the only one who remembers this play ? It's more than likely game over here as there was a lid on their basket too - The Wolves' shot 31% to the Bulls' 28% while only outscoring them by 1 point for the 4th quarter. I don't understand what's so hard to see that both Jimmy and Rose have been inconsistent. Not only early on in this season, but last season as well as they continue to struggle to play off of one another. I get it. The media is going to create the narrative that games like this, Rose is at fault for losing it. We as fans however, should already be hipped to this shyt and know that what's going on is far beyond blaming a single player.

I said before the season started that I was worried about Jimmy letting his defense slip due to focusing on expanding his offensive game, and I believe it has. Dude is out there dribbling & draining the shot clock on crucial possessions with his struggle handle while Rose sits there and watch. He either needs to do one or two things

1. Make his decisions quicker instead of jab stepping 5 times.
2. Pass the ball.

And Rose actually needs to make more of a concerted effort to get the ball from him too when he sees that Jimmy is out there pivoting because he fukked up and picked up his dribble -- that overtime, all Rose did was ball watch and he does it often. He definitely needs to be more consistent period. Again, I said before the season that he's too good to look like "just another guy out there" and he has in a couple of games. I'm not asking for my man to be the MVP and drive the lanes with 4 defenders around him. I simply want him to be active and engaged. I don't want him passing the ball, and then go camping out on the perimeter....

I'm one of these rare dudes who believes that Rose's best basketball of his career is still ahead of him.... But he has to do more, and do it more consistently. His vision should be good and that mask should be gone soon (hopefully during this 3 day break coming up before the grudge match with Charlotte)... After that's squared away, I want to see him ball out.
