All Im saying is that is that the DRose saga got to a really bad point with the meniscus injury in '13/14

The front office has fukked up plenty, but its pretty clear Roses contract hurts their ability to manage the roster. Thats not really up for debate

If Rose is able to stay healthy and get back to an all star level, we are easily in contention this season

I dont love this front office, but there are PLENTY worse situations around the league

Its a moot point now anyways. All the eggs are in the Hoiberg basket. If he doesnt get shyt done the next two seasons, we blow it all up.

Don't get it twisted I'm not saying none of this is on rose level of play, he does have to be better but unlike some of you all my expectations dropped on what he could contribute especially after that meniscus. But I'm not buying his contract being a hindrance. Not when we basically salary dumped deng and korver, not when we lost asik for nothing, and so many other blunders from gar pax. Making the precise move at the right time is what great front offices do. This is a good one, but no fire is being set to these dudes. How the hell is the Chicago media content with letting all the blame fall on thibs and act like if a team loses to cleveland with all the things working in our favor, that clearly is more than the damn coach. You got teams that have won rings with bad coaches.

The Asik thing looks horrible in hindsight but at the time it wasnt an unexplainable decision

Well he's never really been an efficient scorer. that has to do with not being a good shooter. He used to get to the line enough to make up for that, but those days are gone

I just can't expect any more than what I've seen. but When he actually tried to, he gave us numbers around what you're talking about. efficiency...that all depends on his shooting and/or free throws.

as far as us contending, I've let it go. We always have to say, if healthy, if this, if that. too many uncertainties. we had the best opportunity against cleveland last year and didn't get it done

he'd certainly be more efficient if he weren't taking so many 3 pointers and hitting them at such a low rate. that right there kills his FG%.

And let me just make it clear, I will be on the front office neck, I'm not here to sway your opinions and o don't mind discussions to counter, but my blame goes solely to those guys in that front office, so if it's too much that I'm complaining about them, then ignore my post.

I totally agree with your displeasure with the Bulls FO, because of their inability to make the necessary improvements to beat Lebron last season. What beats a Lebron lead team is depth at the wing position and at least one rim protector. Mavs (Marion, D. Stevenson, Brewer, Kidd, & Chandelier), San Antonio (Kahwi, D. Green,M. Ginobili, B. Diaw, & T. Duncan), G. State( Iguodala, H. Barnes, D. Green, K. Thompson, Bogut, & Ezelil). People don't understand we only have Butler on the perimeter to defend Lebron, so he will not be able to get into proper rhythm to get his offense going because he has to expend his energy on defense. The next problem is none of the other wing players can stick to their man on defense, so that puts more pressure on Butler when Dunleavy, Snell, and McDermott can't stick to their assignment. Iman and Jr. Smith went off on either Dunleavy or Snell consistently in that second round. Next are bigs were not able to stop them from owning the paint and glass. Noah and Taj got hoed by Tristan and Mosgov for that whole series. Noah is are rim protector but was hobbled by the off-season surgery he had, which made him look like a shell of himself. Taj had the ankle problems, but was still embarrassed by Tristan Thompson. I'm pissed at the front office because they saw these issues, and decided to stay pat and not address them. Rose is my favorite player but it is unrealistic to put faith in him with his injury history and he is not going to fix these glaring issues I just mentioned. Imagine if we had an Aaron Afflalo, Nicolas Batum, or Wilson Chandlier to take some pressure of Butler at the wing position. I'm pissed at Noah for talking sh#t before the series and then wetting the bed when it was go time, so the FO may have to address those issues early if they see no progression from our front court guys early. The bottom line is these problems have to be addressed if he we want to have a true shot at going to finals. If these issues are not addressed by the deadline, then you all will know what kind of FO we have. All they care about now is making profit!
