its just the way the league is going, you need talent, not guys who might be good in a few years, or guys who have hot streaks for 2 weeks then suck the next 6 weeks, or old vets who cant defend a argument let alone rotate on a defensive assignment,

you have guys who are former all stars playing as 4th and 5th options on the contending teams. you have to be stacked with proven nba talent, not with potential guys who may be good later down the line or hoping some vet min guy strikes lightning in a bottle and outperforms his contract for a season. this is what gar pax has built.

they bought in when d rose wasnt playing at all. and i guess its a testament to thibs that he was able to pull off those successful seasons with mediocre rosters

but again, the league has improved, the east has improved. im sure they will get a few more wins when jimmy and niko gets back, but i would be lying to myself to act as if this team was all good even when they were all playing. although thibs left much to be desired in playoff rotation, you judge a tree by the fruit that it bears and apparently he was right about how he handled this team.

Yea but jimmy probably wouldnt be the player he is without thibs throwing him out there he'd probably been traded by now
