The last time the US and the Russians scraped it was in 2018 Syria and the Russians got lit the fukk up with the only US wounded was from having thumb numbness from pressing the buttons too fast. The US has no peer.:skip:

The artillery barrage was so intense that the US commandos dived into foxholes for protection, emerging covered in flying dirt and debris to fire back at a column of tanks advancing under the heavy shelling. It was the opening salvo in a nearly four-hour assault in February by around 500 pro-Syrian government forces – including Russian mercenaries – that threatened to inflame already simmering tensions between Washington and Moscow.
In the end, 200 to 300 of the attacking fighters were killed. The others retreated under merciless air strikes from the US, returning later to retrieve their battlefield dead. None of the Americans at the small outpost in eastern Syria – about 40 by the end of the firefight – were harmed.

Half an hour later, the Russian mercenaries and Syrian forces struck.

The Conoco outpost was hit with a mixture of tank fire, large artillery and mortar rounds, the documents show. The air was filled with dust and shrapnel. The US commandos took cover, then ran behind dirt berms to fire anti-tank missiles and machine guns at the advancing column of armoured vehicles.

For the first 15 minutes, US military officials called their Russian counterparts and urged them to stop the attack. When that failed, US troops fired warning shots at a group of vehicles and a howitzer.

Still the troops advanced.

US warplanes arrived in waves, including Reaper drones, F-22 stealth fighter jets, F-15E Strike Fighters, B-52 bombers, AC-130 gunships and AH-64 Apache helicopters. For the next three hours, US officials said, scores of strikes pummelled enemy troops, tanks and other vehicles. Marine rocket artillery was fired from the ground.

Imagine US soldiers storming a trench without the entire front line being glassed for days on end while supported by round the clock air strikes and artillery fire. Imagine infantry advancing without tank support. :heh:

Compare the US military to a bunch of barely trained convicts in a country where the life expectancy for males is 60 and the leading cause of death is alcohol poisoning.

yeah, russian mercenaries got their shyt rocked.

Wait shouldn’t reconnaissance drones make trench warfare obsolete? You can simply send out drones, find the enemy positions and annihilate them with precision mortar fire. No need to even put yourself in harms way.

Russians are fighting this war on hard mode. You can’t stupidly throw troops on the battlefield and hope for the best
You gotta get three uninterrupted kills in a row for that UAV to go online breh. You think Russians got aim like that?

:russ: It’s disgraceful that you lot are still celebrating this utter failure.

Honestly, a lot of you Americans are delusional & this is as disgraceful as the Americans who act like they invented the English language whilst mocking native speakers in England.

You attacked a bunch of Wagner & Syrian soldiers who’re on foot with all your might after getting clearance from Russia that there are no Russian troops there. And rather than see it as a routine exercise - a lot of you have been gloating about it with exaggeration for years now like it was actually a US vs Russia confrontation. We all know it wasn’t & the US got clearance from Russia before it attacked them to protect Islamists.

Don’t let me post a video of US Elite Navy Seals getting wrecked by a handful of Taliban tribal fighters. Even the chinook sent to rescue them that was occupied by Navy Seals & Rangers was shot down by the Taliban with RPG.

American invincibility is built on exaggerating bs stories like the Syrian one. I know British vets that fought alongside Americans in Iraq & Afghanistan & they all say Americans are unprofessional brutes that won’t be able to hack it against formidable forces.

Not holding brief for Russia here but if you want to make an argument - reference a direct confrontation between US vs Russia regular forces - not US bombing Wagner & Syrians after getting clearance from Russian command that there are no Russian forces there. Even the number of casualties is exaggerated. Also, I don’t know how Russia get into this.

Wagner is Putin’s personal army. They operate in 3 continents. They are currently leading the assault on Bakhmut and have sustained 9,000 KIA in the war by their own admission.

The Russian Air Force threw up the :hubie:because they didn’t want that smoke. And let hundreds of their own soldiers and Allie’s get burnt to a crisp.

You’re the one talking about a peer to peer conflict would make the Us storm trenches like drug addicts getting mowed down by Ukrainian school teachers and firemen. IM TELLING YOU that the US would flatten every inch of Russian trench lines, knock out every artillery piece, every drone, every armored mass before a single soldier would be moved forward. The US would flood the AO with millions of artillery shells, fighter planes, drones, and missiles. The Iraqis tried to set up trenches during the Gulf War and this happened :

The Saddam Line consisted of defensive fortifications constructed by Saddam Hussein's Iraqi Army on Kuwait's border with Saudi Arabia after Iraq had invaded and occupied Kuwait in August 1990.

The Western media presented fears that it would present a formidable obstacle to the liberation of Kuwait, consisting of "flame trenches" (ditches filled with oil to be ignited in case of attack)[1][2] and "sand berms, trench works, tank ditches, barbed wire and minefields",[3] backed by the threat of chemical and biological weapons. The objective of Hussein was to force the coalition to engage in costly Trench warfare.[4] However, those fears turned out to be unwarranted. The coalition assault, beginning at 4 a.m. on February 24, 1991, met "only sporadic resistance", and by 6:45 a.m., troops had broken through the Saddam Line.[5] The US forces charged the Iraqi lines with M1 Abrams tanks modified with minesweeping plows and M728 Combat Engineer Vehicles which buried the trenchlines, and in many cases, buried Iraqi troops alive, the number of which has been estimated to be "in the thousands".[4]

You’re over here talking about gotdamn low level anti-insurgency warfare. The US had 2,420 dead in 20 years. Afghanistan was safer than Chicago. :mjlol:

I’m talking about maneuver warfare on the open plains of Ukraine. No mountains to hide in. No cities to suicide bomb dressed as a civilian. Army vs army and Russia is getting its ass kicked by basically the Alabama of Europe (no offense to Alabama brehs).

The US would fukking curb stomp Russia. Without nukes Moscow WOULD be taken in 72 hours unlike Kyiv.

Educate yourself how a real army does an invasion and realize that was 30 years ago and it’s the same weapons we donating to Ukraine today.

You notice how Iraq had SAM missiles at the beginning and the US just flooded the airspace with hundreds of dummy drones?

Do you know the US has built 890 of these alone? Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II - Wikipedia

That’s a 5th generation combat fighter. The Russians have their own, they built 11.

It's not that trench warfare is outdated, it's simply that this conflict is between two nations that don't have the most advanced militaries. A war between the US and the France for instance would probably look very different. for instance. Even with the tanks...Russia is using them wrong. They aren't coordinating their air support and artillery with the tanks. Instead the tanks kind of just roll around and wait to get blown to bits. The Ukrainians are being given heavy US assistance with intelligence, which allows them to operate tanks how they'll supposed to be used. A tank is supposed to be a killing machine that rolls in after your air support and artillery ensures they'll be unopposed.

The bodies thing is something Russia has done for hundreds of years. They will throw bodies at a war until they win or can't continue. The problem this time is they're facing more advanced weaponry than they've ever faced, so they're losing bodies faster. Doesn't mean they're gonna give up soon, but it feels like this won't last as long as they think it will.

:russ: Let me engage you & poke holes in your exaggeration.

Funny how you claimed 500-0 when even official US figure put it at 200-300 pro-Syrian Government Forces killed.

In the end, 200 to 300 of the attacking fighters were killed. The others retreated under merciless air strikes from the US, returning later to retrieve their battlefield dead. None of the Americans at the small outpost in eastern Syria – about 40 by the end of the firefight – were harmed.

However, independent sources put the Syrian x Wagner forces at 68 dead while Syrian sources claimed 55. Russian sources claimed 20-25 Wagner were killed while Wagner claimed they only lost 14 soldiers.

American assets involved against Syrian x Wagner forces:

US aircraft and artillery

^^^The fact that they used all these assets against Syrian x Wagner forces gathering against ISIS & barely killed 50-60 people is an utter failure & a mere exaggerated flash in the pan.

Also, this is from the US:

“The Russian high command in Syria assured us it was not their people,” defence secretary Jim Mattis told senators in testimony last month. He said he directed Gen Joseph F Dunford Jr, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, “for the force, then, to be annihilated.”

^How would anyone with a brain call this a direct confrontation between US & Russia when the US got clearance from Russia before attacking them? If the US were that brave, it wouldn't have contacted Russia for clearance. And Russia has more than enough assets in Syria to neutralise any US attack on its regular forces.

So, no matter how you spin it - this wasn't a US vs Russia confrontation. It was Syria supported by private military vs US. But still an utter failure in context of the assets US deployed relative to the kills.
.....................................................................

Highway of Death has to be one of the most exaggerated event in history since the number of bodies recovered wasn't even up to 100. How do you bomb a bunch of ragheads in over 1000 vehicles & manage to kill less than 100 people?

And you think the same people can flatten trenches & sophisticated fortifications? :russ:

America needs to stick to chasing weather balloons & leave complex military adventures to countries that actually win wars. America just shot down a $12 balloon with a $450k missile thus making it F-22's first kill. Then got so paranoid & started shooting down several $12 weather balloons whilst claiming they're UFOs. Imagine a country where people believe a jet that has a mach 2.5mach max speed can track & shoot down. hypersonic UFOs flying at a min speed of 5mach. Americans are so gullible & delusional. :troll:
