I'm a firm believer of everything worked out how it was supposed to with that draft

Melo has not been a winner in the NBA. Well of course he is all around better than Darko, but like stated earlier the Sheed trade wouldn't have happened

I don't believe Melo would have fit with the style of play the Pistons were playing

Probably a blown assignment (from sheed in game 6 leaving horry open) from being back to back champs.

Then if we were back to back champs no way Larry would have left. Gotta go for the 3 peat..

the decision to draft some no name ass bum from europe is so stupid it makes you wonder how these things operate

like maybe these gm's all sit together and pick who choose what kind of players, shyt is like wwe raw dumb shyt level

one guy is incredible talent on offense and a ncaa champion, the other one is slow ass robotic no name cac from serbiakistan of soviet russia :dead:
At the time everybody was looking for the next dirk and Darko was the consensus #2 pick.

Shame though melo career would’ve been way different had the pistons drafted him.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Darko wasn't as bad as we let on... whenever he was given minutes, he did great. he played in the fiba world's and did great..

the problem was, brown wasn't giving him minutes. he got drafted and avg 5 mins a game. they had wallace and sheed already.. and he was a young 18 year old rookie. he was begging for time and brown wouldn't give him any. so he basically got a fukk this attitude. but again.. look as his numbers in any game he got minutes, he did his thing. nobody gave him a chance really. getting drafted to a championship contender was always his bad luck

if he was drafted to minnesota, he might be kevin love.. putting up amazing stats for no wins but looked at like a star for it
