I feel you but I low-key feel sorry for anyone who still has hope or optimism about the left or right side of our govt.
That's why I don't insult y'all because your optimism comes from a place of innocence and I respect that but the donky and the elephant are both playing in our faces and the fact that they have it set up so that if I'ma dem I hate repubs and vice versa is a tale tale sign and I can't even blame y'all who can't see it because the government does an excellent job at deception

I'm not coming from a place of innocence or optimism. Come on now. I don't look at politics that way. I look at outcomes and choose against what produces worse ones. We're impacted by every policy choice, good and bad, so I don't understand people who think inaction will spare them from the consequences of choice. That's why you have to actually evaluate these things with clarity, not collapse them into a "both sides" binary that avoids real-world outcomes.

our history is been erased from schools and libraries across the nation.

black unemployment has reached a high that wasn’t seen for decades.

black college enrollment, in the wake of anti-dei efforts, has fallen to an astonishing low.

if you think we weren’t better off before 2016, you’re either lying, delusional, or have so little skin in the game that the impact on your life is negligible.

I'm not denying corruption exists in both parties. The question is what you do *after* acknowledging that. Corruption alone doesn't tell you which choices lead to worse outcomes or who should be held accountable. In your view, does authoritarianism produce materially worse outcomes than even a very flawed democratic system?
