I'm not overthinking it. Their lives are shyt that's why they cool with this shyt and can't see the obvious difference.

I guess what I'm saying is, it's not that they don't see the difference.

They do and just prefer Trump because they feel he's shytting on people they hate. They just won't admit it because they don't want to actually defend him.

The Democrats problem is they have no real economic policies besides more immigration and bad trade deals. Mainly because their voters never hold them accountable. So they really had no incentive to develop a decent strategy other than benign neglect.

Republicans aren't much better because they think tax cuts are the answer to everything.

i am perfectly fine with all of that awful benign neglect if it means a reversion to what existed prior to current state of madness we’re now mired in.

I have to organize and become politically active again and force any candidate I vote for to put tanglible policies on the table.

why dont you take yourself down to the houses and actually question your local representatives after learning about whats currently being debated locally

yall keep acting like money doesnt move the political choices but surprise it has since well before America was a thing

Here's what I really think is bothsiders issue. Their lives are so fukked up that they will project about people wanting Democrats to save them. What they really mean is they are mad Democrats won't save them with reparations or some sort of similar policy.
Look at Warren Buffet over here. Haven't you posted your salary on here? Calm down.

they abandoned worker policies since before WW1

tax cuts can be the answer to many things but so can things like mortgage reforms and changes to basic education

teaching more people about ways to utilize capital that actually builds profits not just "stagnant" equity wealth

if everyone had the farmers logic with mortgages there would likely be no inflation (that I get a mortgage so that my farm pays the mortgage)

jobs by comparison is "my job pays the mortgage but my job isnt my investment so when i die my job doesnt get passed down to who i choose, my employer steals my time forever and im hyon"

Also lots of Democrat politicians don't come from the private sector. I think that's the real disconnect. If they've worked for the Government damn near their whole lives. They have no clue how things are economically for the average citizen. That's why their answer to everything is to just slap a bandaid fix on it and call it a day.

i was talking to my SO about this the other day but i think something that could completely change all the cities in america is if they introduced an "Occupancy Property Tax Cut"

where if the real estate developers maintain 90%+ occupancy rates they get their property taxes slashed

youd see people moving back to cities, more shops, more reasons to stay closer to a town

and it wouldnt actually influence the reasoning for rent pricing, so many companies could (and should) pass the savings down to their tenants

this is in contrast to section 8 where they are completely subsidizing the renter

not only would this affect residential renters but also commercial renters, ive read that there is like 50% occupancy for basic office space especially after covid with people opting to work from home

Every democratic administration has grown the economy and the quality of life for the average American. Every worker protection we have today largely came from democratic institutions.

“Hold them accountable” is a meaningless phrase bothsiders bandy about. You can’t even define what holding them accountable means. Not voting? That’s working out so well.

What’s funny is you would never in a million years hear a white person telling another white person the solution to defeating the democrats is “not voting” :laff:

It’s sad that Black men say “it’s still” when they should say “there are still”.

:mjpls:

In African American Vernacular English (AAVE), the word "it" is frequently used as a "dummy subject" where Standard American English (SAE) would use "there".

Key Differences
  • Existence Statements: While SAE uses "There are" or "There is" to indicate the existence of something, AAVE often uses "It's" (a contraction of "it is") regardless of whether the following noun is singular or plural.
    • SAE: "There are a lot of people out here."
    • AAVE: "It’s a lot of people out here".
  • Locational Directions:AAVE speakers often use "it's" to point out the location of a place or object.
    • SAE: "There is a bodega two blocks away."
    • AAVE: "It's a bodega two blocks away".

Linguistic Context
  • Rule-Bound System: Linguists emphasize that AAVE is a rule-bound dialect with its own consistent grammar, not "broken" or "incorrect" English. The use of "it" as an expletive (dummy subject) is a recognized feature of this linguistic system.
  • Historical Origins: Using "it" for existence is actually an older English form found in Middle English (e.g., "it is no nede to argue"), which has been retained in AAVE and some other modern dialects.
  • Singular vs. Plural: In AAVE, "it's" can precede plural nouns, effectively replacing "there are". For example, a speaker might say "It's four cars in the driveway" instead of "There are four cars...".
