No, I get you. It's an issue. I just hate when it's dropped on Black men in America. A lot of shyt is placed on them by everyone -- it's always Black American males -- and they are made to think it's just them. And it's placed on their said "culture."
This is a global issue -- but in the States it has been an issue for a minute - and the thing is -- it's bigger than music or glorification.

I'm just talking about Black men, how much we glorify guns(mainly thru rap music) and the amount of damage it's done to our communities which are already behind the 8ball to start with.
I really do believe those stories about the govt dropping boxes of weapons in urban communities decades ago.
Bro just look at all the gun reference in modern day rapI'm just talking about Black men, how much we glorify guns(mainly thru rap music) and the amount of damage it's done to our communities which are already behind the 8ball to start with.

Afghanistan has a population of 34 million -- and we have 327 million. So, it is a weird comparison -- with them having such a small population compared to ours.
But, I get what he was trying to say.
The US hasn't been at war with two superpowers over 40 years.
The data was done on a per 100,000 basis - it's not an absolute figure.
If you have issues with the comparative, take it up with NPR - funded by your government.
I could be wrong but I don't think he was just talking about gun violence amongst civilians but like over all. Police gun violence too
The temporary power a gun provides is the only resource many people have to resolve conflicts. People with wealth and other non-violent resources utilize them. Many black ppl in the hood do not know how to resolve conflict without violence (I'm gonna beat your ass, I'm gonna clap him).![]()
