If he stopped getting to the Super Bowl, he would have been had the "Best QB in the league" moniker ripped away from him.

But people playing better than him keep fukking up when it's time to move him out the way.

Regardless, he has been the main reason why the Chiefs have been any kind of competitive as of late.

Nikkas be trying to get into a shootout with the nikka when he's the elite of the elite :mjlol:

The only way you beat Mahomes is to play bully ball.

He can't hit the deep shots ay a semi decent clip anymore. Today sure he had an amazing deep TD but besides that? It's been bad for weeks going back to last season. I don't know what it is. But the decline is undeniable.

You don't even have to heavily react to today's game, since the Eagles have an elite defense. Mahomes struggled last week too. This keeps happening.

He still top 5, shyt top 3 just some rough games but it been clear since last season he not as good as Lamar or Josh they don both passed em up. They the top 2 gold standard for QB play now. shyt DHop lookin like he hittin a new prime and Hollywood was better wit Lamar too. Mahomes can still scramble like a muhfuh and he do his usual crazy plays but his intermediate and deep accuracy just not there and he not the athlete Lamar or Josh are. Mahomes don't got the football IQ of the past great QBs (Brady, Peyton, Rodgers etc) so unless he finds that deep ball again or make the open intermediate throws he gon keep laggin. He won't be able to scramble like he do forever and if those other parts of his game don't get back and improve it could be a ugly decline.

Football is a team sport. He doesn't have the roster that he used to have.

Did they draft offense in the draft this year

I don't know. I'm not a Chiefs fan.

But when I've seen them twice this year that WR room is bottom of the barrel. Thornton and JuJu were NE WRs 2 years ago and they were absolutely terrible and now Mahomes is supposed to make them legit starters?

Kelce is done. Pacheco is average at best. And he's been running for his life.

Offense hasn't been good since Bienemy left and they hired Matt Nagy:scust:

Everyone said Bienemy was tough and held players accountable and they practiced hard. Nagy took over and they've been sloppy, undisciplined, and dropping easy catches. He's clearly the reason for the decline.

Patrick had one of his best seasons throwing to Juju, MVS, Watson, Skyy, and Toney. That's a terrible group but Bienemy had them playing efficiently. Once Washington let him go they should've brought him back in some capacity.

At some point it's going to be time to rebuild this thing for the next phase. Reid and Kelce will have to retire and Veach will have to go. Patrick might need to go elsewhere.

Still have to see how they look when healthy. Getting Rice, Hollywood, and Worthy on the field at the same time should change things.

It's obvious the offense is in a transition phase away from Kelce but they've only had Worthy & Rice play together in 4 out of a potential 22 games. How it looks when those two are on the field will be the proper evaluation.

The 2022 MVP and Super Bowl win was great and a testament to all involved, and only KC could get away with what they did that season (and in 2023) because they have a HOF HC/OC, QB, and DC - but it's a weapons league more than it's ever been and thinking you can take the field with cashiers and coli brehs at the skill positions and maintain a high level of play is silly. People thought Brady was washed at the end of his New England tenure, he chose Tampa because of the firepower and cranked out more MVP quality seasons, that's where the game is today.
