"It's too late for Meek" has to be the lamest excuse ever to discredit someone

Yes, Drake won the summer musically and strategically. Absolutely no denying that.


But there seems to be this undercurrent of people that just want Meek to lay down and take it. Lay down and let Drake dis and clown him on and off since B2B. Drake drops summer 16 with disses all over it and had Meek not been ready, he would have taken a massive L this winter and everybody would have laughed and memed again. Not to mention people have been begging Meek to respond so they can hear Threepeat. But War Pain was more than people expected. It cut a little deeper than it was supposed to. Meek comes through and not only drops a better dis record, but clearly outsmarts Drake and his team. Bars aside, he strategically beat Drake this round. Drake has to figure out who in his camp really doesn't fukk with him like that to leak the track to Meek. This also makes me think the first 4/4 with the freestyle dis was bait to get Drake to release this thinking that was it. But instead of saluting Meek we get

"Don't want to hear this now "
"The bars aren't even tight"
War Pain is bigger than the bars, which are good on their own right. This was Meek winning at chess this round.

So why do you think it's too late to stand up like a man and get your rep back?

He clowned Aubs for having a ghostwriter then got out rapped by him, then dropped a mediocre ass response months later, then tried to bring his money making into it in an attempt to shyt on Drake when drake is making more than he is

Meek is a walking L but let's be clear... Only a select few actually want to see him lose. A lot of cats are shytting on him cuz he shoulda won this war a long time ago. The sad reality is Meek will never win, because it will take bars which he doesn't really have

Did I miss anything? Cause they've definitely been going back and forth from the jump. Why is it "too late" they've BEEN putting music out

This whole "it's too late" thing seems like people might fear he could actually win in the long run and want him to stop. There's nobody on the planet that can destroy the Drake brand in one track. This goes for whoever is in the forefront of rap at the time. There's just too much momentum and too much corporate backing to do it.

Personally speaking, it hasn't excited me since last summer.

Meek can keep on taking shots but the more he takes, the harder it gets for people to actually respect them. It's like fg %.
