"It's too late for Meek" has to be the lamest excuse ever to discredit someone

Some 1 refresh my memory of the timeline of this spat...

  • Meek exposes Drake for using Ghostwriters
  • Drake responds a few days later with Charged Up
  • Funk Master Flex pisses off the entire world by trolling
  • Drake drops Back 2 Back a couple days after that
  • Meek Drops Wanna Know finally with the reference tracks
  • Back 2 Back picks up steam and shoots up the charts
  • Meek drops a freestyle on I'm Da Plug
  • Drake drops Summer 16
  • Meek drops War Pain
Did I miss anything? Cause they've definitely been going back and forth from the jump. Why is it "too late" they've BEEN putting music out

no lie, there were dudes on here saying "i don't give a sh*t if meek drops the best diss of all time, drake still won. meek shoulda responded asap" - this was less than a week after back to back dropped.

do you realize how stupid you gotta be to say some sh*t like that? :russ:

when a man decides to devote his life to being a d*ck rider he throws all logic out the window

The fact that he's a non-mainstream rapper that sold more than 200K out the gate in this era refutes your statement.

That's in the past before he showed his true colors. No one likes Meek currently and he isn't doing anything to change people's minds.

And FOH about him doing being mainstream - he rode the Nicki and Drake wave to temporary success.

:jbhmm:

By what metric are you judging Meek's likability/popularity?

His followers went up. His fame went up. His music hasn't suffered. Every time he drops an EP he breaks the mymixtapez website and the internet buzzes. He withstood a meme barrage from the hugely famous 50 Cent and his devoted stans and has been declared the winner of this round of his been vs Drake by the internet nerds and publications.

What does none-mainstream mean?

Are they the ones that are managed by Roc Nation? Have multiple endorsement deals with multinational corporations? Do tours with Nicki Minaj? Have Drake, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj etc on their singles? All over all commercial radio stations?

Imo he's pretty unlikeable but a dope artist, just like I know that Kanye is pretty unlikeable but moved mad units.

Mainstream means Billboad top 40/Case Casum shyt.

Meek's music is not that.
