These reactions come from a place of hurt. The men who are hardest on women were the men who opened themselves up. They let themselves be vulnerable usually at a formative time in their lives and had their hearts torn and then turned into confetti. A lot of anger or coldness towards women comes from a place or hurt, the idea being 'if i don't care or allow myself to be vulnerable with a woman again, I won't be treated like I was back then and feel how I did again'

But with regards to the Twitter post, men absolutely are on the right track by refusing to deal(seriously) with women who have relationship baggage and exhibit red flags that the man cannot accept. That "yall immature if you don't wanna commit to a woman that had trains ran on her by thugs and jocks while she curved men like you in her prime when she had options" rhetoric isn't really working on men like it did before
