I’m trying to move away from bread and by extension pasta. By proxy almost all fast food is out as well because most of it revolves around bread. I’m hoping I get over this soon. Bread is a huge part of social eating.

I guess this depends on your lifestyle because unless your eating sandwiches constantly,bread.is nowhere near a necessity.

If you just HAVE to have it,whole foods sells a faux bread call Carbonaut,gluten free and about 40 cals per slice,I believe it's made with psyllium husk.

Or just eat normally and adjust your caloric expenditure accordingly. :unimpressed:
Calories are a lie. I don’t count calories anymore I just eat intuitively and try to limit my foods to a level of quality. Food is about the hormones and instructions it gives your body not calories. Much modern bread is ultra processed and toxic to the body.

why doesnt OP just hit the gym to burn off the excess fat so he can eat bread...:jbhmm:
I mean I have Ezekiel bread I will eat every few days but I’m trying to eat better quality foods and bread is mostly a trash food. I don’t want to be eating all the sugar I used to and modern bread is loaded with the stuff.

So are you saying eating 1000 calories of apples and eating 1000 calories of pop tarts cause the same reaction in your body? All food may have calories but calories are a deception to the masses so they can equate all food to being equal on some level and say calories in vs calories out.

In reality whole real foods the body knows how to handle are different than ultra processed foods. When you dumb it down to just calories it ignores that. It’s like Coca-Cola saying drink all the soda you want and just exercise more.

Calories ignore food quality and that’s why they’re a lie.
