Welcome to the club, you ain't really into until you pass out from a choke.

:blessed:

Also, ask what someone does, put an extra squeeze on cops. I always do!

But seriously well to the club breh.

New cops always freak out, spazz and make the set like its Worlds....I swear, I get them in a kimura or choke and they don't want to give it up, then when we reset and they act like "Oh, I would have gotten away"...Then I just keep subbing them to prove a point..

:mjlol:i put the beats on cops when they roll through

The mat is my chill place, it is the only place where I don't bring the world events/energy into it...

Except in tournaments....if I fight with a breh, I hold back a little....Anyone else it is:

But im still #teamsambo:sas2:
At the end of the day we sometimes borrow what works for our styles. We remain grounded in our fundamentals and become open to new techniques.

Getting back into training makes me realize how many moves i Forgot. It's like watching torn pages coming back into a book.

I'm not so rigid.

I like sambo clinch work and entries

These days I'm just looking at grips and positioning. The microgame is where the real magic is happening. Better places to grab, stabilize and hold cats while I do what I want

Back on my closed guard arm drag armbar shyt

Let them fight back

If your grips are on fleek they can go as wild as they want still gonna get cradled like a new born baby.

Them and the new marines.

Sheesh. But you gotta appreciate the heart. If they stick with ot, they're good partners to push the training with

How’s the workout? See any changes physically? I want to join an all in one gym that has BJJ and boxing. I want to work on my stand up also.
If it's a boxing gym offering bjj your choice of training partners typically won't be as good as the ones you find focus primarily on Jiu-Jitsu.

Usually the coach is a guy from a school that's trying to find his own students. The training partners aren't consistent enoigh. And ideally you want to learn from a champion level grappler. Ideally.

im getting better each rolling session :wow:

finally tapped another white belt who used to f me up every roll the 2 previous weeks lol

almost secured this kimura on this cold ass blue belt, when he stopped me I tried to get an omoplata but failed. didnt get the tap but even midroll he was like "ooooou:leon:"

subbed the sensei's son with a rubber guard choke right infront of him last night:birdman:.

i'm getting tapped less, flowing better, guard game getting better(other than a blue belt I rolled with, not a single other white belt passed my guard last night :whew:).

I still get humbled often as this is my 3rd month but this shyt is empowering brehs

It's fun, had a great Judo and BJJ session last night. At this point I am working on the psychological aspect in the game, going for a sub in the middle of their transition and when they least expect it.
