It's crazy how much retirement does for your career. Now I can see how people made MJ into some mythical players that had no flaws.

Stfu cac. It smelled like green bean casserole with no salt the second you stepped in here.

The fucc out - he should be in the Hall Of Fame.

OP is right, you're never gonna see a player with his career again.

Not a franchise player
One-time all star
Known for a specific skill
Unique personality
Not a number 1 or even a 2 on a great team, but did great in his role somewhere further down the list
Fondly remembered
Hall of Fame probability - less than 1%

Sounds like exactly the type of guys I was talking about

Ron wasn't a role player, or at least shouldn't have been in his prime

He was the number on that 61-win Pacers team, and was heading for another great season but that brawl incident fukked it up and probably denied him from reaching the level he could've had.

And he was still good with SAC/HOU, it wasn't until he went to LA that he truly became a role player :manny:

Sam I Am wasn't one either and should've/could've made at least 1-2 more all star games :manny:

As infamous as the lower tier No Limit roster was, I wouldn't be surprised if he truly was known for random skullduggery all throughout New Orleans. :russ:

On September 25, 2009 Skull Duggery was arrested after police searched his Baton Rouge home. Authorities executing a search warrant, found several violent Child Pornography movies on his computer. Authorities also found a .223 caliber rifle, a .40 caliber handgun, and marijuana.

One thing the game is missing these days are the great role players. Guys like Horry, Artest, Sam Cassell. Not stars but everyone knew them and they had their own swagger about them, unique personalities helped. Maybe 1 all star appearance, never one of the best players in the league, but always played a role in outcomes and more often than not, showed up big in big moments.

Nowadays seems role players are out here tryna be superstars :mjpls:

I agree, he was cold blooded. He Also was one of the most versatile offensive and defensive players at his size to ever grace the NBA. I know I can't be the only one to think he would have been an All Star and team cornerstone eventually if he had stayed in Houston.
Nah.

Unless that team sucked. Horry didn't have the heart/will to lead a team, he was perfectly suited for the role he had. It's J.R. Smith-esque, they clearly have the talent to do/be more, but they get comfortable in a role but just excel to the upmost in it.
