I’ve never been to a gym before. I’d like to join one. What should I expect?

Depends what kind of gym you go to? Find no matter what gym I go into eveyone is usually cool.

Even easier look for the biggest guy in the gym, and ask him what he does or if he can show you a few pointers. Cats that are gym rats are mad chill, they are way beyond the ego flexing, they are there to get big.

You are going to be in pain after the first few days you go to the gym don't panic this is normal it's called shocking the muscles. When this happens take a day off then go back and do the same exercises and reps you did the last time to get your muscles used to it.

DO NOT START OFF WITH HEAVY WEIGHTS

This is where newbies mess up when doing weights and just because the guy next to you is grunting while bench pressing 60lb dumb bells doesnt mean you have to. Start at the smaller weights like 20-25 lbs and over time you'll hit those 60-100lbs. But start off with some tricep and later pull downs and other cable excercises but dont start heavy work your way up to that level.
