You know that Carson Palmer started that rule first. Stop fronting. Brady nor Palmer lobbied for that rule change. Yet Manning did campaign for change, but gets a free pass for it. Totally senseless bullshyt. One thing the NFL did for Brady was the now infamous "Brady Rule" after he blew out his knee. It likely extended his career (along with some bum QBs as well) and is why it's dumb to try to compare his accomplishments to the QBs that came before him. The NFL changed a lot from the 80s/90s to the mid 2000s and beyond. They went completely overboard protecting QBs.
Some will say "I don't want to watch backups in the playoffs" but that's literally what the NFL was. The 49ers would be lucky to have Montana healthy by the end of the playoffs.
Crazy calls get made all over. This is very true. I remember when we were on top.
Plenty of crazy calls are called throughout the league but Chiefs ones are under a microscope right now!
Why people keep denying this shyt is beyond me. I am far from a conspiracy theorist, but my eyes see what they see. These panderers talking about the number of calls, are disingenuous. It is always about the timing and the absurdity of them. If you notice, when they said the ruling on the field stands, after the Allen 4th down sneak, the crowd didnt know how to react, because it was initially ruled a Buffalo 1st down!! They were confused!!Crazy calls get made all over.
Multiple close/suspect calls a game for one team every week is a different story.
These people just gamble too much that’s all this comes too

"Tuck Rule" which began their runThe Patriots were hated because they were good and Brady was a pretty boy dating models and Belli was an a$$hole. They had aura as villains. They also beat up on the Jets so NY hated them. Realistically, you could never argue the refs gave them any unique sort of calls any other marquee QB didn’t get. You never felt Brady got more calls than Peyton or Brees or Rodgers. The tuck rule was stupid but was called before and after that game.
That was 2002. There isn’t any particular call or play that anyone can point to during their runs after that where you can say the refs gave them a game or made a call in their favor in a big moment. That’s why people bought so much into spygate and deflategate because they needed to explain them being good. With the Chiefs, people are reacting to a team get every close call in prime time every week. And then we flash to Taylor Swift. I can acknowledge that their calls are magnified like any call Brady or the Pats got but they’ve gotten more calls this season than the entire 20 year reign of Brady.
This plus the fact that everyone now has a platform from which to spout their opinion, and a willing audience of likeminded listeners,The difference between now and the past is that with cameras everywhere and replay, if the refs get something wrong, people cry cheating.
In the past they wouldn't even have the right view for a call and it couldn't be changed anyway. As a Falcons fan I've seen plenty of games where the 49ers got some bullshyt calls.
Chiefs rarely get called on holding calls or any calls that are egregious . They won a superbowl against the eagles off a bad call is what it is . I think the taylor swift thing definitely plays a factor. Mahomes is rarely behind the sticks due to any calls, they literally ref them different than other teams
