i didnt know this existed.
this is actually better than the more known version. i assume they ran with the other version because theres a lil too much flesh in a couple scenes, at least by '96 standards.
aaron hall wasnt even in the other video. this video has all 5 of these dudes wildin out. you gotta luv it.
but i'd still take the other version in favor of lisa raye the goat.
This sh1t ain't adding up with the stories of cats saying Makaveli album was originally supposed to just be a mixtape album for the streets (then they decided to make it a retail LP after he died)
Why would u shoot all these high budget vids for a mixtape
what other videos did pac shoot for this album? "to live & die in l.a."? thats it, and it looked like something they shot on the humbug. and the more known version for "toss it up" looked cheap.
The Box was basically the original version of BET Uncut...honestly think Pac made the alternate versions of this and California Love specifically for that muh'fukka...shyt like Luke videos, them Hammer videos where he came back trying to act hard wearing a speedo with a gang of hoes in bikinis, OG jamaican freak bytch Patra, etc. STAYED in rotation...i used watch that shyt all damn day suffering through airings of Clearance Carter's "I Be Stroking" for somebody call in and type the code for some ole booty shaking shyt
the box was the home for all the popular videos that were either downplayed or flat-out b*stardized by mtv & bet. ive been saying for years, that a big part of the music industry died when viaom bought out the box and replaced it with mtv2.
real talk, i only recall seeing the more known version of "toss it up" on the box.
I wonder what Danny Boy is doing these days.
he was on amerikkkan idol like a couple years ago or something. i saw the clip.
i think thats bullchit. he shouldve had another record deal. how you auditioning for idol while your voice is being played on the radio somewhere, and videos that youre singing in are still getting played semi-regularly.
