Pac's work ethic the 9 months he was out of prison before he died is literally unbelievable...The albums, videos, performances, classic interviews..He did more in 9 months than most rappers do in 9 years...

Not even counting the fact that he was the star in two major motion pictures..Dude probably didn't sleep for days at a time..It's amazing he still had time to get into trouble...

i thought it was 3 movies...wasn't bullet made after he got out too? cuz that was the first pac posthumous flick to be released

In the case California Love, the 2nd video was a remix of the song with a different beat...

2Pac - California Love [Original Version] - YouTube

2Pac - California Love (Remix) - YouTube

Also the remix had that Autotune nikka singing at the end, where's the OG does not.

Exactly. No idea why California Love was even brought up.

I think I might be the only person who preferred the remix to the original.

:mindblown:

Someone a few posts above you just.....awwww fukk it

Stretch from Live Squad was in that film also

so it obviously couldn't have been after he was released cause they were beefing + Stretch got killed while Pac was in jail

(Nas set him up after a studio session for IWW.... I guess that's just how NY n1ggas roll)

The Box was basically the original version of BET Uncut...honestly think Pac made the alternate versions of this and California Love specifically for that muh'fukka...shyt like Luke videos, them Hammer videos where he came back trying to act hard wearing a speedo with a gang of hoes in bikinis, OG jamaican freak bytch Patra, etc. STAYED in rotation...i used watch that shyt all damn day suffering through airings of Clearance Carter's "I Be Stroking" for somebody call in and type the code for some ole booty shaking shyt

lol @ that video always being on
Also that song by that old broad named "Bill" about her husband being a fakkit. I would be like "who's ordering this?" :why:

I never knew about this video either. But I thought the Cali Love remix vid was commonly known though, unless you a young'n that didn't come up with The Box

i didnt know this existed.

this is actually better than the more known version. i assume they ran with the other version because theres a lil too much flesh in a couple scenes, at least by '96 standards.

aaron hall wasnt even in the other video. this video has all 5 of these dudes wildin out. you gotta luv it.

but i'd still take the other version in favor of lisa raye the goat.

This sh1t ain't adding up with the stories of cats saying Makaveli album was originally supposed to just be a mixtape album for the streets (then they decided to make it a retail LP after he died)

Why would u shoot all these high budget vids for a mixtape

what other videos did pac shoot for this album? "to live & die in l.a."? thats it, and it looked like something they shot on the humbug. and the more known version for "toss it up" looked cheap.

:obama:

the box was the home for all the popular videos that were either downplayed or flat-out b*stardized by mtv & bet. ive been saying for years, that a big part of the music industry died when viaom bought out the box and replaced it with mtv2.

real talk, i only recall seeing the more known version of "toss it up" on the box.

I wonder what Danny Boy is doing these days.

he was on amerikkkan idol like a couple years ago or something. i saw the clip.

i think thats bullchit. he shouldve had another record deal. how you auditioning for idol while your voice is being played on the radio somewhere, and videos that youre singing in are still getting played semi-regularly.

This shyt is kinda crazy though lol cause I feel like the rest of yall, Im a HUGE Pac head and never saw this shyt in my life.

I still remember the first time I heard Toss it up on the radio though ..shyt was a Saturday night, thats when they used to always play the best shyt, during the mixes. Man my 10 year old ass was in the crib foolin...That shyt actually one of my fav Pac singles, I've always been a R&B head so I was feeling all the R&B features on the track ,my nikka Aaron Hall killed that shyt..

Yall nikkas see that behind the scenes video in the Unsung thread though? That boy Jo-Jo from Jodeci was so faded talkin cash shyt about New Edition
