You don't outgrow rap, you outgrow substance-less rap and you have to go on a treasure hunt to find rap with substance nowadays

basically
You don't outgrow rap, you outgrow substance-less rap and you have to go on a treasure hunt to find rap with substance nowadays

People get too lazy to continue digging for music like they did in their youth. I'll always be hiphop because hiphop saved me. People who say they outgrew hiphop are either women, caucasian, or guys who arent really that into music to begin with.
Why not?
Because they are not flash in the pan dumbfukks like Drake or Nicki or Wayne whose singles have the same shelf life as milk you fakkit.
Gimmicks only last for a while, timeless art like what De La Soul and ATCQ made will last forever.

i thought rap was started and was for the youth?
or theyre burnt out. no denying it gets pretty tiresome now because everybodys doing it...
to the youth.
.....With that said I like Future,Freddie Gibbs, this youtube rapper Yellah Nino,Lil Reese and of course the nikkas I listened to coming up.....but nobody to truly be a stan of that's come out lately......Now I could just tell the young nikkas "yalls shyt is wack
"....But instead I try to come on the humble and leave the possiblity that "maybe I outgrew it
" but y'all offended by that too?yet call us old farts who just too old to understand the new shyt
?
...what wuz I thinking,I'm hiphop enuff to know humbleness is always taken as weakness

These rap concerts are so damn small time, compared to other genres, when it comes to shyt getting out of control.
I remember a Rolling Stone article talking about....I think it was Lollapalooza, I dunno....maybe 10+ years ago....anyway, the crowd went berserk because the price of food and water was too high....started jacking the food stands, beating people up, destroying the stages....I'm talking "28 Days Later" type shyt.
The only reason I remember this, is because security went to Moby's tent to tell him to evacuate, and dude was DJing likewhile 10 girls were on the floor eating each other out.
Fred.
the 90's...You don't outgrow rap, you outgrow substance-less rap and you have to go on a treasure hunt to find rap with substance nowadays
