AIs football background never gets enough credit for how he gave no fukks running into big guys. Really...if you play football, basketball big men are NOT THAT BIG to you. HYou could see that football mentality all over that niqqas game. He had no problem hitting the ground. I miss that give no fukks about my well being mentality to AIs game. You simply don't see that but every now and then in a basketball player.

Yup. I played both growing up and LOVED being physical in basketball. I think most kids play either or and when they choose basketball they become "softer" so to speak. Great point made by you breh. AI did not give a fukk about running into any big man and taking hits.

Basketball, football, movies (above the rim)... dude had a ton of influence.

I honestly feel he would have been an NFL db had he kept playing. He had the physical make up of one, long ass arms, athletic as hell and his break to the basketball was :scust:

Easily. If he played college football they would have put an additional 10-20 lbs on him and he would have been drafted as a free safety. He had a hall of fame career in basketball but sometimes I wish I could reverse time and see him choose football instead. He was just a generational type of freak athlete.

Seeing this bought back so many memories and makes me realize how fast time flies. Seem like I was just watching AI win the MVP then drop like 54 on Toronto in the playoffs the next game. The man was a phenom and though Stern didn't like it he was the face of the NBA once Jordan retired and until LeBron came in.

This shyt still haunts me 14 years later :wow: Brings me back to my 9-10 year old self wearing my Sixers hat all the way thru the finals, having to endure Lakers fans clowinin me like "Take that hat off lil man" :mjcry:

When Sixers won the first game of the finals against Lakers, taking a 1-0 lead in the series, people thought they would win :to: and pull off the unlikely upset :wow:...even though the Sixers dominated the eastern conference and were an excellent team, especially defensively, and went on to a 56-26 season record themselves. :wow:

At least they gave the Lakers their first and only L in these 2001 playoffs :mjcry: Lakers swept their way to the finals, crazy shyt :ohhh::mjlol:Sixers done bringing them back down to earth after Game 1 :mjlol:
