bruh you did Dook UG and you're in PWMFor what it's worth, I'm an ivy leaguer and a Wall Street banker

I denied acceptance letters from California Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, Howard, and NYU. Does that count?![]()

For what it's worth, I'm an ivy leaguer and a Wall Street banker

One of the freakiest and explicit chicks onattended Dartmouth. A UPenn grad got eggs and pancakes smeared on his car after getting with a Brooklyn poster. One of my favorite and sharpest female posters graduated from Stanford. One of the mods here went to business school in an unofficial Ivy with a full ride but loses points for being a Kobe Stan.
Enjoying fukkery is universal

...go do something productive with ya'self man. Again, no way in hell would I be on here if graduated from an Ivy. Y'all have an all access pass (or supposed to) ... that's the purpose of going to an Ivy! And you're on here?!
Do what you do, man...

what else should we be doing that we are not already doing? maybe i'm missing something?![]()
...
I'm romanticizing and typecasting for sure...i'm just missing the part that would prevent us from doing both, all that fancy stuff you're talking and posting on the coli, too. i'm failing to grasp whatever blocks the 2 from occurring simultaneously....
You're getting at what others have said in this thread...
Brokering deals, schmoozing with the 1 percent, jetsetting... I wouldn't waste a day on here... (maybe on the phone at an airport during a layover)... But I'd eat, sleep and shyt turning more high profile contacts into connections and making more money...
Maybe I say that because that potential to have that level of accessibility is foreign... as others have said, y'all are people, too.I'm romanticizing and typecasting for sure...
... but I just couldn't see becoming a vested, SOHH/Coli community member with an Ivy education. Shyt wouldn't even cross my mind.
My visits would all be situational, and few are far in between. I'd be trying to play that Ivy card everyday in everyway... Pardon us commoners, bro... I'm just spewing class warrior shyt.

It's the AM... early. Go make some money! lol!i am breh, you're only taking up one of my 7 screens right nowI'm just doubting I'd think like that... Again I'm typecasting... why are you on here now?!It's the AM... early. Go make some money! lol!
A buddy of mine went to Penn ... he's always on his phone brokering major deals. He... rarely idles, and when he does, it's something very... whitebread-ish if you will.
Another associate went to Harvard... she's super quirky and super weird. Doesn't really fukk with the Web at all...
Just saying, my mind wouldn't wanna even gravitate toward here... it'd be at the bottom of my to do list.
multitasking was something i didn't need an ivy to teach me
i am breh, you're only taking up one of my 7 screens right nowmultitasking was something i didn't need an ivy to teach me

they call themselves an "ivy of the south" just like stanford calls itself "ivy of the west" but its not an ivy. if you go around in college educated circles talking about you go to an ivy league school then say duke they're gonna look at you likethen
then
remember the ivy league was created as a sports league, not necessarily for elite education purposes. there are better schools that arent in the ivy league (like Stanford) and mediocre schools in the ivy league (like Cornell).
schools from best to worst in the ivy league (my opinion only): Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Cornell. Studying CS at any of those schools will give you a top tier education, though. as for the black experience I can only really comment on the one I went to. The african-american community is highly intellectual at all of them, as expected. The schools try very hard to be diversified. Manage your expectations, though. Going to a school in a big city will be better than one in the boonies, as a black person. But I wouldnt be too hung up on it either way. You'll find your friends, you'll have a good time, you wont experience much overt racism (remember these are all educated people) but most of the white kids come from rich white neighborhoods so they really dont know many black people wherever they came from. Lots of kids from NYC though too, who do.
Just go to the best school you can, get your degree, then live your life with a good job and good connections![]()
