I havent listened to it yet, but I purchased it this morning off go. the reviews have me nervous. it seems Cole just can't put it all together and make a classic record.

I always have issues with this statement. because if I look hard enough I can find the good in anything so... If I have to keep listening to this to change my opinion how do I know how I truly feel? This album didn't really do it for me but I know if I keep listening something will "grow on me"
Breh this happens all the damm time !!!

How can you be a fan of music and not realize some artist won't grab your attention right away .

It's almost like you have to give the music your undivided attention so you can take it all in .

Even then it might not catch you right away .

Perfect example is currency his music you can say is slow .

When I got pilot talk 1 I listen to it thought it was boring ass fukk.

Almost a year later I picked it up and something just clicked .

One of my favorite all time albums most def top 20 .

Some things are just slow burns breh .

Just like how that song you hated the most on an album become your favorite .

With the climate of the music industry and what the type of shyt we're being fed...I really hate not being able to recommend this ....that really annoys me.

...But I gotta keep it real. .

What did he do again?

To me released another very good album while being a mainstream artist with some skill, artistic quality, songwriting craftsmanship and emotion. Think this is another 1 that enhances his catalogue and credibility. After his last album I was considering him as potentially the best mainstream artist bar legends, this just further enhances that feeling/opinion. Personally to me and also a bunch of others I see, depending on people's perspectives may have different takes but I genuinely enjoyed this project and think it's a very nice addition to his catalogue, already songs I'm repeating, many artists I listen to hear it and it's so wack I never wanna hear the songs ever again, Cole got a number of songs here have a desire to go back to. I keep seeing growth in him in many different ways and am pleased for him. He has nice influences to in parts and I think that shows in his music, he's brought it lyrically and actually rapping here to me and also made some really dope songs, enjoyed it.

Still amazed this dude has been able to reach the position he has dropping such blah music. Not a fan but decided to check this out based on those two vids that dropped, neither are on the album and they sound better than every track I skimmed thru on here.

Especially when you get that every song is connected and not just mere singles.

Neighbors sounds like Cole reflecting on making it in life, buying a new crib and still being prejudge, its just pure introspection. False Prophets is straight introspection. It would've followed Neighbors perfectly IMO. Still would've kept the theme and sound of the album intacted.
