Like dj quik said in regard to this album, its by far the best composed album the west has produced in the last 30 years (and not just in rap music) but you may need a "vast musical knowledge" to understand its greatness

2014FHD most definitely is better all around...This is Cole's TPAB except there aren't any standout songs that would end up being singles like "Alright" or "King Kunta" or even "these walls"...Shoulda been a mixtape..

The songs where he is only rapping on, are great. Upbeat good flow substantial lyrics. But the shyt where he is singing on, needs to go. He's like a fake Andre 3000


my problem is, the new tribe called quest album that came out does this vibe infinitely better. With way better lyrics, way better production, way less pretentiousness and ultimately way more replayability.

Kendrick is really the only artist thats pushing the boundaries. His next album about to be some cold shyt. I can feel it.

i dont understand why people keep comparing this to tpab......
tpab is a much more well rounded project....
this just feels incomplete....like its really missing something
usually 10 tracks on an album usually means its direct and hitting its point with zero miscalculations....but this shyt should be atleast 12-14 tracks if he's going with this type of vibe.
cole likes rapping around in circles without staying on subject with something thought provoking
like someone else said...i aint tryna hear a nikka rap about folding clothes.
i liked fhd more.
