Its a solid album I only have two tracks left to listen to.

It feels like he tried to recreate the last album again a bit. But maybe he's just speaking more of whats on his mind.


I'd prefer him have went in a totally different direction though.

Basically how I'm feeling. It's a solid album album. I am a little dissapointed that False Prophets wasn't on this.

Its funny readin these comments becuz u can tell a bunch of nikkas come into Cole projects with a predisposed hater mindset. Its a like they already have a cliche list of negative things they associate with Bro music and go thru the tape hopin he fullfils them.

im not a cole hater. i like his prior projects
he's trying to expand his subject matter but rests on his laurels in his rap style
he pokes around at deeper subjects but never fully commits....maybe thats his way of ensuring a good song...some rappers cant do both and make it listenable.
he's not the only rapper guilty of this...shyt kendrick does it...just a lot less.
just a little disappointed in hearing false prophets and then this...but this is his take at a concept album...so
i never said he was off topic.

Jcole is talented, skillful with the words, and a great guy with a good heart but.... that shyt does not translate into entertainment for me

Yea it's a nice thing to help ya gal out with chores but I don't ever ever ever wanna hear a rap song about that shyt. Just like I don't wanna watch a movie about high school vampires falling in love.
This is not for me at all but I can see how there are some people that will like it.

I appreciate the effort of trying not to have stereotypical subject matter but this wasn't it. When he came out with the controversial slick diss songs I kinda knew this album was gonna be on the soft side.

This one wasn't about entertainment. I hated Frank Ocean's Blonde, but then I read the lyrics and I realized it was beautiful poetry. I'm a major Cole fan and I like music on the slow tip so this is perfect for me but I can understand those who are not feeling this one musically.

Still amazed this dude has been able to reach the position he has dropping such blah music. Not a fan but decided to check this out based on those two vids that dropped, neither are on the album and they sound better than every track I skimmed thru on here.

Insert Kendrick in here and you'll understand.

This album definitely isn't for me, and I'm a bit disappointed, but I still hope It sells well.

I love the concept of the album, but the music just isn't all that enjoyable to me
