but one of the best albums all time.....? :what::wtf:

anybody who knows music, its history and its different genres seems to agree with this. it may not be your taste, but it really is one of the best and is being praised (by those who have enough knowledge to review music) as one of the best albums.

From a pure objective standpoint, I have yet to find a single flaw in this album, which makes me think it's a perfect 10/10 album underrated by edgy critics as a 96/100 record. It's still good though, as far as I can remember, it's the highest score ever given to a rap record, even if its not rap, even the deliveries, the "flows" (which aren't) are 100% jazz. definitely highly influenced by jazz poetry you could find in free jazz in the 50s

It's like the Cole was on some hood nikka avatar staring out the project windows shyt 75% of the album. It wasn't all bad but I really wasn't feeling that. I feel like he wasn't low key trying to pass these stories off as his own to unsuspecting fans or casual listeners even subconsciously.
He learned from the best :ahh:

this is just more of the same from him...the same average bars, same average beats, just another sub par album. no growth.

he's not great in any department but will go down as a great.
seen as one of the best but doesn't have a defining project, song or even verse.

no rapper is as lucky as J Cole that the bar for "rappers" is ankle high.
