:bryan: @ Cole almost outselling Iggy in one week.

There are posters in here that claim that Cole is a cornball and people who support him as "lames" :skip:

Dave Matthews of Hip Hop

He's not wack, might not be necessarily remarkable or dope either. You might not get why everyone around your way at school/work/college likes him cause he appears to be a bit dull and not very unique but he has a fanbase that always turns out even when he's not doing the trendy thing and you can appreciate the down to earth nature of his records.

Most definetly the Dave Matthews of Hip Hop

Cole is gonna be doing festivals and drawing numbers till he's 50.

Who in the hell is Dave Matthews?

Decatur where its greater
"They don't know, they just study the charts

Me I study the shows, the fans, studied their hearts"

:wow:

Damn, I don't think I've seen a line quoted from a song more pertinent.

I remember 4 years ago bumping The Warm Up when he was just a little nikka from the Ville. :damn:

Now look at you. :wow: :salute:

Bruh, The Warm Up was ALL I bumped

being considered the 3rd best mainstream rapper after Kendrick & Drake isn't a compliment considering the fact that drake & kendrick are the only good new rappers in the mainstream.

Cole is considered top 2 by real hip hop heads he defiantly ain't behind Drake

eh, Cole's not a good example for this. His black female fanbase is HUGE and more than likely the main reason why he sold so much

very true, ppl don't really acknowledge how strong and lucrative the black female fanbase is.

to me, its probably the best fanbase next to white folks and that's only cause theres more white ppl in this country.

Man, I remember after Friday Night Lights dropped and nyggas on sohh swore only lame Internet nerds listened to Cole. I took my girl at the time to see a Cole show at UPenn, she was ":usure:who the fukk is J Cole" which had me thinking the sohh dudes were right

When I got there, I'd say about 70% of the crowd was black females and they knew every damn word, singing along to everything, that's when I knew the hype was real

then the first time I saw my ex after we had broken up, she's playing Cole in her car and is on some, "I love J Cole now, thanks for introducing me to him :troll:"

YES, I'm blaming J Cole for psychologically stealing my girl :mjcry:

I've been telling nikkas, that if a black male artist want to be successful, they need to establish a black female fanbase. That means do not diss them in any capacity. Besides Lil Wayne, I can't think of one rapper that has dissed black women and still became successful recently. Now look at Nicki. If it wasn't for the nappy headed hoes or gorilla comments, I bet she would have pulled at least 230k first week. Not just rappers either but black actors. When's the last time Taye Diggs starred in something successful? Best Man Holiday don't count because it was an ensemble cast off of a sequel.
