The shyt was FORCED. Listen to the lyrics and watch the video. They don't even correlate. If he wanted to go this route, he should have done more to flesh out the story he was telling.

The visual of him in the club not even paying attention to the strippers paired with him daydreaming about his, "dream" girl would have been better for what this SONG is. Then he could have ended it with Miguel popping up at the strip club and then ended it with him plotting to get him or some shyt.

I am a BIG fan of Cole, but the concept of this video was forced and could have been handled better for what he's looking for...

Don't worry J Cole's fans will continue to excuse his mediocrity.

Are you crazy nikka Visuals i.e. music videos, vlogs and concert footage are just as important as the music nowadays, when it comes to growing your fan base. The reason people know about Trinidad James is because of the visuals he put out for all gold everything.

Anyways, all Cole had to do was showcase a super bad bytch and shots of Miguel singing in front of cool backgrounds; he could have done that with a dramatic story line or not and he would've been good money. I thought that was a no brainer but I forgot the Cole is allergic to winning.

stop lying about being a "BIG COLE FAN"... if you were a so-called big COLE fan, then not ONLY you would understood that the lyrics DID correlate to the video, but it even REINFORCES the 1st song, "dreams" as well...

the video shows cole up at a strip club all nite feeling guilty over his obsession to which the song POWER TRIP is about, and the video EXPLAINS why/how he's on a POWER TRIP..


if you cannot comprehend the brilliance of whut the video correlated then you need to stay listening to DUMB-DOWN sh*t like TRINIDAD JAMES or something!
