I have a theory. Do the fans of J Cole's first 2 albums hate his last 2, and vice versa?!

Drake is past both,quite easily

Well we aren’t sure if drake write his raps and they are so formula driven it’s weak.

And I don’t even want to get on Kendrick. I like him but he seems too gimmicky and gets by off that flow that’s tired. A lot of stuff he says doesn’t even make sense.

As a black man from the hood Cole is more convincing than them two for sure and I rather listen to cole over Kendrick if I had to choose

Yeah Cole does his own beats and raps his own verses neither Kendrick or Drake does both..and if they did they don’t do it for albums like Cole.does that where is he really splitting his money except his team of unknowns that prolly would make nothing if it wasn’t for him.

Also not sure if you go to shows or not but none of the people you named do the same size venues as Cole.

Future was an opener at at Festival Cole was the headliner (MIA)

Big Sean was the opener at J Cole show

Kendrick Cole and drake do the same venues so how are they not at the same popularity level? free streaming don’t determine that.
Big Sean headlined his own tour with I Decided.

Future is headlining the same festival Cole is this year.

Kendrick, Cole and Drake don't do the same venues nor do they charge the same prices

Drake just completed biggest tour in rap history

4YEO tour- 62 shows made 40 million

DAMN tour- 50 shows made 62 million

Summer 16 tour - 54 shows made 85 million

The best song on the album is 1985. Your theory is lost on me.
THE fukkING VAST MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WHO HATE THIS ALBUM DONT LIKE EARLY 90S EAST COAST PRODUCTION.

ALSO YOU PROBALLY LIKE THAT SONG THE MOST IN LARGE PART BECAUSE OF THE SUBLIMINAL DISSES TO DRUGGY RAPPERS, AND THE CURRENT CULTURE AT LARGE.

Im talking convetional east coast Hip Hop 1990 to 1995 ish maybe 1990 to 1994 more specifically.
Off top Just look at the singles J Col's " De Ja Vu" and Jay Z Moonlight. The muffle and/or manipulated female vocal sampling.

THIS IS A fukkING HUGE DEPARTURE FROM JAY Z MAGNA CARTA.

Come on man.
Is it a huge departure from WTT or BP3? Every Jay-z album is a departure from the last, is Mchg the only Jay-album you've heard except 4:44 :dahell:. That's one of the worst analyses in this thread breh, "Yo his two last albums are different, so it's obvious that the latter is inspired by *insert random song from a random album*"

And I can't hear anything at all that's similar on Deja Vu and Moonlight, one is the Fugees beat updated or better yet just looped. And the other is a Boi 1da beat.

Drake Cole and Kendrick all did MSG on all of their most recent tours I mean that’s the same venue right in one of the most populated states in America right?

Wherever you got the earnings information from how did you miss where they performed?

Also I went to big Sean’s your matter fact I went to all their tours. Sean’s was at a place B list artists perform I’m in a major city if you perform at a venue that’s big you are A list Sean or future will never headline a tour at the MSG by themselves Cole did. Only time future was at the MSG when he shared the stage with drake

Drake shared a stage with future I mean if it’s that serious his next tour where he ain’t co headlining should break that record which it won’t but you can have he had the highest grossing tour. But it’s really him and future why didn’t you clarify?

I put Barclays center meant to put msg sorry lol

He decides to switch from Magna Carter after Cole puts out 4YEO.
Hell of a coincidence imo. But hey you make a good point about Jay Z varying conventional and modernized production from albums to album.

But I can't help believing that J Cole having some success with the content and production of 4YE made Jay feel more comfortable making an album like 444 in terms of production and content.

It's not a just a boi oneda beat "De Ja Vu" samples a female vocal from 'Swing My Way" K.P and envyi from the 90s . Jay Z Moonlight single does the same and samples the female vocal with Lauren Hill.

Drake didnt share a state with Future Drake performed for 1 hour and 30 minutes and Future did 20 minutes

Drake sold out MSG 4 days straight.

Cole is not on Drake or Kendrick's level. Future, Migos and Sean are very close or equal to Cole.
