I haven’t listend to the album I don’t have an opinion yet. I just feel like every album not just cole could be consider a niche album if it finds an audience.

Thats my take I haven’t heard anyone describe an album as niche so I was curious

album has a strong anti drug message and is a critique on the new cats int he game, it's a niche message.

his last album was about becoming a father, again a niche message.


2014 forest hills drive wasn't a niche album. it had much broader appeal and is probably his best album.

I can see your reasons. The most he possibly spends money on is sample clearances.

These are the same drums he’s been using on every album

No features is a way too save money.

It doesn’t take him much to break even and then it’s pure profit after that but he’s not expanding his fanbase and it’s actually decreasing when you how 4YEO tanked after it’s 1st week

Definitely Not Sean lol, I’m not a big fan of this album either but it still doesn’t put Sean ahead of him, he only has 1 real good album (DSP) and that isn’t as good as Coles best (FHD) cole has 2 classic mixtapes and can still rap better than Sean, not to mention cole sells more, so what is Sean beating him at?

1. just because this album just like 4YEO was a concept album doesn't make it a good album. It's a 2/5 just like 4YEO was 2.5/5. I see "stans" are trying to use that as am excuse just like last time. and I'm a fan I've bought every physical copy and been to two of his shows.

2. This isn't enjoyable! it's nothing to actually make you think, party, smoke to, or what? He's not displacing great production skills, new flows, great punchlines, mind blowing entendres, amazing stories, or nothing.

3. What's the purpose? it sounds like this took two weeks to make. the last three tracks sounds the best and that's because he said he went back and worked on them the most. the same with his verse on this



jeezy said he gave Cole the beat and Cole said it took three months to perfect this verse

4. It's safe to say that Cole isn't in the top three with drake and Kendrick anymore I'm replacing Sean with him. Yes Cole would sell records and is popular but right now this isn't that shyt and Cole is an amazing artist to me but he doesn't have thst fire anymore. Yes Cole is 33 and is evolving but just like a jigglypuff to wigglytuff every evolution isnt a good one

I would leave out Sean and put Big K.R.I.T in that spot as 3rd.

the first half of the album is a legit 10/10.

theres a fall off after motiv8 but not a massive fall off that it makes the album trash.

this is easily my favorite j cole album tho.
