Yepnikkas breaking out secret decoder rings for this shyt talmbout "yall don't get it"
He recorded this album in 2 weeks. Ya'll puttin in more work on it than he did :loldenzel2:
Damn you really are stupid as hell. And you in here say Sean is better than Cole.Jesus Christ. Y’all gonna do that with every album now?![]()

Read elsewhere that The Fall Off is actually this album in reverse. Dont quote me on that though cause Cole may put something out.
So far so good with this.
nikkas biting 3-4 years after the fact but Booth dudes still fronting :lupemperor:first Kendrick now Cole is trying to copy the god Wasalu
Lupe DNA is everywhere![]()
Lol Naw no frontin at all. Certain songs are weak and maybe its me but the songs could've been sequence better. Couple of songs go though. Also think he could link with either Bas, JID, or Earthgang for a cut. Kevin's Heart feel like the latter could've been on it in particular.nikkas biting 3-4 years after the fact but Booth dudes still fronting :lupemperor:
I appreciate your honestly .... that Drogas Light was fasholy trash can juice no doubtI aint gotta lie to kick it, yall do![]()

To not be long winded... both projects are light. Lupe's sole purpose for releasing that album was just to have more material worth performing at his live shows... Cole is actually serious thoThis long winded ass post just to cape for trash ass Drogas Light that even Lupe himself graded out to be mediocre
I fasholy could give two fukks about what your delusional ass is talking about

Drake fans always saying stupid shytnikka got his own Stans calling themselves “peasants” .... what do you expectI’m a big Lupe fan and I don’t hate Drogas Light but overall people need to stop making excuses for the bullshyt excuses he has. One of the biggest plea coppers in rap

Wait till Drogas proper dropsI appreciate your honestly .... that Drogas Light was fasholy trash can juice no doubt
Conversely I’ve already seen about 10 people reposting this Cole album on my gram .... the people are already embracing this heat rock
Meanwhile Lupe’s “Peasants” admittedly ducked his last album on some

This album would resonate with me more if he actually went all the way with it and actually worked with some of the producers that are influencing the culture. Some of these songs feel off, whether it's the production, the singing or just the off key vocals due to the distortion he puts on his voice. Some hooks are just trash, but he is rapping well throughoutI don't see this album as a parody or a diss against [insert new rapper]. Above all it's an album about addiction and vices of our time. Photograph, ATM, Kevin's Heart etc aren't about drugs or rappers - they're about the ills of social media, greed, adultery, etc. Even Brackets...you could argue it's about Cole's own greed in regards to not wanting to pay taxes.
Even 1985, the "diss song," sounds more like cautionary advice than Cole talking shyt about anyone in specific.
The concept is interesting, albeit very familiar. I've been listening to this and can't shake the idea that this sonically sounds almost like a Tribe record. Midnight Marauders.
With all that being said...my problem is that...it's not really compelling to me outside of a few tracks. Questionable hooks, very mixed production, and the way he attacks many of these issues just feels too on the nose. Especially Photograph. Just sounds out of touch to me, and preachy. The best tracks are the most personal, where it sounds like he's empathizing instead of casting down judgement. Once An Addict is great, very emotional. And then on the next track, Friends, he sounds like he's not only judging friends struggling with addiction, his solution is laughable: meditate, don't medicate. Are you serious?
Window Pain is a great song. Kevin's Heart is a great song (potential single too). Once An Addict is great. 1985 is dope. Everything else kinda fluctuates to bad to ehhh or ok to me.

I'm a fan, not a stan...I don't have to ride for a bullshyt album.nikka got his own Stans calling themselves “peasants” .... what do you expect![]()
