Looks like DEHH will not review Cole anymore after this

That was a terrible review. Whether they liked the album or not. They came in not even interested in reviewing it and didnt even give Cole the respect of giving it a thoro listen. They showed more respect to Cardi B. They just basically clowned Cole majority of the review.

I'm not really feeling it.

I understand the message, but;
  1. He spend too much time "parodying" modern Rap music ... I got as repetitive as the real thing
  2. Yes, J. Cole, you need features or atleast different producers (Ya'll don't wanna hear Cole on a Primo or 9th beat)
  3. I'm sure Cole really loved DAMN
  4. The whole idea of him going in on drug use in society, then being like fukk politics shows me Cole doesn't really educate himself. These white folks killing themselves use politics to fix it. No, voting isn't the gonna work by itself (see Doug Jones), but, you're a millionaire, I'm sure the 'Ville would like you speaking on their behalf with them Jay-Z politic connections (see Meek Mill).
Boring is a useless word. Cole can still spit, but, I felt too many times, damn fam, I get it, make love, not drugs, DARE to be difference, just say no

3/5 - Not a bad album, great idea, I love the sequencing, but, it reminds me too much of DAMN
:patrice:
I don't hear it. I heard more similar parallels with 4:44 than DAMN. (And NO I'm not saying that KOD is anywhere close to 4:44)

EDIT: I also heard similarities with DROGAS Light from Lupe too

Album needed more songs like Window Pain & 1985, not gonna lie I did expect more from him due to his past music but it's a cool project anyways. he needs to switch it up on his next project cause it seems people are getting fed up with his creative ways.

The girl (i forgot what she says) reminds me of What happens on earth...

Plus their "moral" messages parallel each other

The fukk was dude talking about when he said if the beat sounds trap then it’s a trap song, regardless of the content?

Dudes hated it before they pressed play. Saying Cole raps like Migos and the album is a bunch of trap beats is being disingenuous. Mocking the concept about of the album on some what's so special about the album. Can't tell me if Kendrick did the same shyt they would've given the attempt at creativity praise.

i don't watch any of these youtube reviewers but i don't know why people especially black folks that are in COle's age group hate on Cole so much. its that group and folks that love trap/mumble stuff the most that always seem to hate on Cole.

most of these people don't even listen to Cole but hate on everything he does for some strange reason

maybe, but Myke(the guy who went last) brought up some good points beside the Migos statement, especially so with the "how it says it" part of his review

I will say this, had this been someone else like Kendrick, these nikkas prolly would have ate it up and gave the album 4.5/5 or classic status:mjlol:
