Who gives a fukk about "platinum" singles in this day and age. I can get with the "new rules" album sales, but singles are songs that make playlists/that get played ad nauseum, streams are too easy for a single, save that shyt.

Who gives a fukk about "platinum" singles in this day and age. I can get with the "new rules" album sales, but singles are songs that make playlists/that get played ad nauseum, streams are too easy for a single, save that shyt.

If anything, I can appreciate an individual song receiving the certification. However, I have a problem with how the new rules certify plat albums because the streams of one or two songs can make up the bulk of the "sales" that go towards an album becoming platinum.
