nikkas on this thread just love sucking up early 00s rappers, have y’all actually heard Jermaine rap?
No stuck in the 90s. I can see a dude argue K Dot (won’t agree) even Drake but Cole. Hell naw

Hell if someone want to say Nicki better I’ll listen but not no damn Cole. Cole is vanilla ice cream. Pun intended.

Funny thread. And not to say Cole sucks, hes dope. But I think he was in the right place at the right time - Def Jam gave him a huge push on his debut and basically made him a household name at a time when his would be competition were washed up.

Those guys are my era so to me Cole is not better, but I'm not mad if thats what others think.

I don’t think Fab is high enough on anyones list. His Verse on Dave East’s ‘Eyez On Me” was dope. I don’t really hear his name tossed around in many goat conversations but it should be.

Put Jada and Cole in the same room or on the same track and Jada kills dude.

Jada's Versus made me see dude in a whole new light

Can someone post these songs where Cam is "spitting"? I've never viewed him as a lyricist.
They won't.
Cole too boring.. every freestyle his stans hype up.. i give in to listen and it's some starter kit "i'm a lyricist" bars. He's not profound, deep or a lyricist. He boring. He benefits in the mumble rap era.

nikka rap about folding clothes and student loans. :mjlol:
This is y'all issue with Cole, content/image, not actual rapping.

Cole is probably not even top five of his generation

drake, kendrick, future are CLEARLY over him for his generation. id give him the 4th or 5th spot between him and travis.
Unpopular opinion: Cole should be in the same discussion as Jay, Nas, Big, and Pac

whats coles blueprint, illmatic, life after death or all eyez on me? The Warm Up (j coles best project ever and only thing I would ever argue is classic along with friday night lights) doesnt even compare to any of those 4s top 3 albums :mjlol:

these j cole stans in here probably think wet dreamz is a classic single

All that woke shyt mean jack shyt. When Jada wanted to do it. He arguably made one of the biggest 20 woke songs ever. Even the lean sipping Lil Baby said let me try this and dude made a classic song during the riots.

That shyt is easy to make for a dope rapper. It’s a cheat code. I can’t fukking hate a song about black people overcoming lol

J.Cole would be a underground backpack progressive rapper that would only get played on direct tv’s progressive hip hop channel if he came out in the 2000s lol

He ain’t did shyt or rap about shyt mos def ain’t do back in the days.

Kiss or Cam?
You bugged out like a snitch wearing wires right now lol
