It’s solid. This is basically what Cole has been for the past 5 years. Solid. Cool beat. Dope rhymes. But just feels so mechanical. Still more focused on rhyming than actually writing something profound. We get it. You can rhyme dirt, flirt, and skirt over and over.
Cole was a way better writer in the born sinner days.

And please don’t tell me this muthafukker really jacked the “drop a gem on em” beat :snoop:…..how many times is this dude gonna jack classic beats?…..da art of storytelling. Give up the goods. Now drop a gem on em. shyt is corny as hell.

Cole catalog is very mixed to me, but he does have great albums and is a great writer. I wanna give him a chance to speak on what happened
