Just for clarification

Cole’s manager said on IG that this was photoshopped/fake and they’re selling the CD’s for more than one dollar.

One fan said their selling it for ten including an autographed copy

He’s being performative with the out the trunk tour and nobody can convince me otherwise he’s worth about $60M and you’re telling me that the best car he can drive is a Honda civic? First of all he’s not selling the fall off at $1 you mfs need to do research outside of tweets

Its the same Honda he and his manager used to go to colleges selling The Come Up mixtape in. They put a new engine in it but its the same car.

This is supposed to be his last album so he’s going full circle back to his early come up. Meeting fans and selling the album hand-to-hand. I don’t see whats so performative about it in a bad way. If he was being a dikk to his fans who showed up or price gouging or somehow manipulating people then it’d be performative. But what he’s doing is no different than a rapper/musician selling merch or meet & greets at their shows. Except if you’re a diehard Cole fan this is actually less expensive than paying s ticket for a show then paying extra on top of that for a 5 minute meet & greet and a tax for merch. If your simply in the area he’s at, you can go meet up and personally by a CD.

I don’t see how anyone could have a problem with it. Its great marketing and also a great experience for fans. Its a win-win.

No but as a body of work we can judge it as such. Not by sales but by quality.

Nobody is going to say Streets Disciple isn’t really a double album because it didn’t meet the sales criteria to count as double. It was marketed, promoted, and said by Nas himself that its a double album so thats how we take it. Mr Morale is a double album because thats what Kendrick promoted it as, so it’ll be judged against other double albums by his contemporaries and those who came before.
Wait, Street’s Disciple doesn’t count as a double album since it’s a few minutes short? I bought that album and it was 2 discs.

Some people are miserable bro. Simple as that. U gotta realize that the internet exposes us to all of this of energy. We all know a few miserable people in our lives so imagine getting online and becoming popular. That negative energy is gonna be magnified something serious.

Yep there’s an actual minimum time that albums have to be to qualify as double albums to count twice for sales. Streets Disciple missed the cut by like 11 minutes or something so when it came out it wasn’t counted twice for sales even though it came on two discs.

Streets Disciple sold 242K first week and debuted at number 5. If it would have counted twice it would have sold 442k and easily debuted at number 1.

I still prefer FHD but its definitely in the top tier.

The sideline story, born sinner era Cole can't be topped imo
2020-current era is impressive. I’ve seen people call The Off Season Cole’s best album. Which I can see being the case. MDL being his best lyrical performance from beginning to end.
