So because Cole was told to fall back that means he should have? This is what i’m talking about when it comes to making excuses for Cole and him trying to skate with it. The rumor was allegedly that Schoolboy comes up to Cole at Dreamfest and tells Cole that Kendrick is about to go nuclear on Drake and if he doesn’t want the same treatment then he should fall back. Now why exactly in this scenario wouldn’t Cole say “So the fukk what?!?” He been spending the last half decade saying that any and ALL challengers would get lyrically molly whopped if they step to him. Well Kendrick STEPPED to him and Cole backed down. There’s literally NO good and acceptable reason for why Cole would step down.

Imagine if Beanie Sigel would have stepped to Nas after the Stillmatic Freestyle dropped and told him to fall back because Jay only really wanted to destroy Mobb Deep. Imagine if this hypothetical conversation took place at a NAS headlined show. And it became public knowledge. Nas would’ve been called all kinds of bytches and cowards and even worse. But Nas, even KNOWING beforehand that Jay was planning on putting it out there that he’d slept with his child’s mother, still went out there and handled his business.

Cole being “naive” as an almost 40 year old veteran in the rap game doesn’t afford him a pass. NONE of his moves during that period afford him a pass. He was “told” to fall back and just…did it. Because…of the power of friendship? Come on fam that doesn’t make NO sense. The only reason a man bows to another man without putting up a fight is if he’s AFRAID of that man or that man has something he can hold over him thats worse than the embarrassment of being viewed as a coward. And unless Cole is out here getting his Diddy on, I highly doubt Kendrick has blackmail potent enough to ruin Cole’s life. So that leaves option A.

It's not even about him being afraid, it's about how he handled the entire situation like a hoe ass nikka and exposed himself just as bad if not worse than Aubrey did. All breh had to say was "I said what I said, I'm off that shyt, yall got it " and he could've slid out that whole shyt with maybe 10% of the backlash. Instead he personified the put the stick in your own bike tire meme but still wanna tell nikkas he would've won the Tour de France. Despicable shyt

What I hate about this Kendrick/Cole/Drake shyt is that they won't do any interviews about this whole conflict. We got plenty out of Nas/Jay Pac/Biggie/50/Ja when they went at it but none of these nikkas whom participated in one of the biggest battles in decades?

Thats STILL a piss poor excuse for not battling. This man stood on stage at his OWN festival in front of HIS diehard fans and kissed Kendrick’s ring and in return Kendrick basically said “If you want to, in ANY way be cool with Drake then fukk you and your friendship.” He also bragged about making Cole back down. “It was wolf tickets on sale til I silenced them.” So Cole lost the oh-so-important friendship either way AND got called a coward by the same man he apologized to.

shyt don’t add up whatsoever. The only reasonable explanation not tied to some wild conspiracy theory is that Cole, in his heart of hearts, knew he couldn’t beat Kendrick head to head and probably never thought either of the three of them would ever go at it so he was free to spit his “I’m the best/nobody better try me” bars because nobody on his level of talent and fame ever WOULD. He was friends with Drake, obviously thought he was friends with Kendrick, and thought the most they’d ever do is throw subs. Then Kendrick said “fukk both ya’ll nikkas I’M the best and willing to go to the depths of hell to prove it” and Cole got shook but his ego mandated he respond so we got 7 Minute Drill. He realized he didn’t have anything in the tank after that so went the “grown man” route and here we are.

It was crazy to still have any TDE artists on the bill for Dreamville Festival when you just dropped a diss to the biggest artist affiliated with the label. He should have 100% dropped them from the bill.

And foreseeing that Kendrick was going to murk Drake has no bearing on COLE unless Cole thought Kendrick was going to do the same thing to him, which meant he was SCARED that he was going to lose because he knew he didn’t have it in him to do the same thing. We’d be calling any other rapper a coward for such behavior so Cole shouldn’t get a pass for that. Doesn’t mean he’s not talented and doesn’t mean he’s not capable of making dope projects. It just means that he acknowledges Kendrick is better than him and he didn’t want his ass whipped in a battle for the world to see. Plain and simple. Anyone arguing to the contrary is simply delusional.

Anybody who thinks cole wasn't terrified of Kendrick is a dikk riding fakkit ......he didn't foresee Kendrick and drake getting too personal. He foresaw Kendricks ability to make number 1 hits.
