What's logics excuse then? LolCole taught us that racism sells.
Being half white makes up for average lyrical ability and content.

He is the relatable rapper. There is a lane for everyone in music and he found his. It does not matter if it critically acclaimed or not.Cole never claim to be a peaceful conscious rapper. He a regular dude surrounded by dumb ass muthafukker.
That's why continues to say nikka and bytches in songs, he not looking to be placed into that type of lane. That's why he fanbase is what it is. He pretty much reflects a lot of this generation that isn't mind numb to the real world and what's going on it, but still has his vices and not afraid to show them
Outsold Drake's two latest releases as well, wonder if Views will do those kind of numbers![]()
I wouldI wouldn't want his career though. I'll just say that, he has a fanbase.
I'll leave it at that.
Yet Future and Drake the most popular rappers among blacks...OP is correct. People WANT to hear authenticity and the perspective of the "everyday man". Thats why Lamar and Cole are the ones that are actually moving units. People are tired of the negativity and the make believe "fantasy" rap, especially in this day of increased consciousness among blacks.
People are gravitating to substance and soul. Thats what people are willing to support.
yeah...I instantly label J Cole fans as wannabes...its too easy. They wear it as a badge of elitism.Drake stans are the worst but Cole stans are on the rise. A few chicks I know who were sluts all through school and don't know shyt about Hip-Hop posting on social media talkin bout "J Cole is so deep. Other just rappers just disrespect women and talk about money."
J Cole says "bytch" as much as anybody out there. And I'm actually a Cole fan but if you are wowed by his "depth", you must be a casual rap fan who really isn't used to high-level lyricism cause Cole is very plain and understandable.
This needs to be updated to say everyone loses a turn as a result for allowing it to be played.
Cole is the best of this generation. His fans don't need to try to convince others like Kendrick and Drake stans...and I'm a Kendrick fan.
if j cole was actually a great rapper he would be blu or even jon connorbit blu fam
