The regular nikka wave was already poppin before Cole got here, I'm not giving him credit for sticking to that. I agree that him selling a million, & even out selling Kanye before that was a great achievement though but even that was off the strength of people supporting him because he was the only rapper (cacklemore don't count) out there during the initial BLM wave. Like the nikka above me alluded to Cole is very misogynistic but you can't tell these black feminists that. Cole is well marketed.

J. Cole fans are dumb. Just because he doesn't talk about the trap means he's a deep lyrical rapper. And Cole fans seem to tip toe over him being a misogynistic rapper just like the rest :mjlol:. "Don't save her she don't wanna be saved" :mjlol:

I wouldn't want his career though. I'll just say that, he has a fanbase.

I'll leave it at that.
There's nothing wrong with his career.
Cole is the best of this generation. His fans don't need to try to convince others like Kendrick and Drake stans...and I'm a Kendrick fan.
I fukk with both but Cole is not better than Kendrick IMO

Drake stans are the worst but Cole stans are on the rise. A few chicks I know who were sluts all through school and don't know shyt about Hip-Hop posting on social media talkin bout "J Cole is so deep. Other just rappers just disrespect women and talk about money."

:what: J Cole says "bytch" as much as anybody out there. And I'm actually a Cole fan but if you are wowed by his "depth", you must be a casual rap fan who really isn't used to high-level lyricism cause Cole is very plain and understandable.

Yea cole does have some misogynistic lyrics

OP is correct. People WANT to hear authenticity and the perspective of the "everyday man". Thats why Lamar and Cole are the ones that are actually moving units. People are tired of the negativity and the make believe "fantasy" rap, especially in this day of increased consciousness among blacks.

People are gravitating to substance and soul. Thats what people are willing to support.

I never said he was deep brehs

He just appealing to the common man and woman. Like I said, I dont personally enjoy his music or his lyrics :whoa: But he is doing stuff that is resonating with people, a thing most rappers are having trouble doing.

actually people are gravitating to marketing, as they always do. When that 'everyday man' shyt gets old, then it'll be back to super nikka.

At some point y'all gon realize that a fraud is a fraud, regardless of whether they're spitting 'positive' or 'negative'. People who talk about positive/negative in art are sesame street ass listeners who like basic, shallow art.
