I get you for sure, and I respect that notion. I can’t really argue he’s in uncharted territory, but I still believe whenever he drops the Fall Off, and if it’s good he might be able to skate past it all. Only time will tell I guess. Also on the Ross thing, yeah it had nothing to do with rap but it definitely brought his credibility into question especially using the Rick Ross name, it’s just he kept making good music so nobody really cared.

I think Ive changed my mind on this ....

Most of last year after the battle I thought it wouldn't have much of an effect and that he did the right thing...
In ways I still feel he did the right thing for himself, I respect what he did even if it was in a bad way (he should have just never said anything) but as time goes on I feel this really hurt him and is lasting, whoever posted that he will never be looked at the same is right.

Cole was on way to maybe being a top 3 mc all time - for me he wouldnt be but for some, but his whole aura was built around im the nicest no one can out rap me, thats the problem...this shyt really hurt him and I think its worse a year later. doesnt mean he wont sell out tours or records but thats not the same thing

Drake landed better than Cole IMO. For this very reason. Drake can talk about anything he wants and no one can really blame him regardless.

Cole backing out of a rap beef might look funny, but it should have no bearing on his all time ranking. That comes down to skill and discography.
