While that is an absurd and wildly inaccurate statement, I do think Dilla was >>>> Ye as strictly a beat maker

Why are you engaging? Ye is a toxic topic on this site. You’re not going to have any meaningful discourse.Do people actually believe this? Kanye is probably the most creative/diverse producers in rap history. In what way is Dilla leaps and boundaries better?

Question to everyone in this thread
If Dilla was still alive to this day…how many people feel like he wouldn’t have made enough more headway or advancement in the industry to equal or surpass Ye in terms of innovation or impact? Being that he missed the blog era, Drake, soundcloud era, etc???
Y’all really dont think he would’ve done incredible things with this much advancement in technology in the music industry???
Let’s be fr.
It’s true bro. Early Ye had classics of course but those drums were weak af
Kanye was Kanye before Dilla passed.
Dude took off immediately once the first album dropped, and it got even crazier after the second. Dilla was still here then. That's the first point. Second, Ye's career doesn't have anything to do with Dilla's. They both could've did their thing and been wild successful at the same time, like every other producer. So nothing he's saying makes sense.
Insane statement especially given Ye’s rise with CD. By the time Dilla died Ye was already superstar status and put out a banger sophomore album.
Producer wise Dilla was better but bigger than Kanye? Fam he wasn’t bigger than Ye when he was even alive. Ludicrous statement.
