Solid album but everytime I finish JID album I feel theres just something thats missing. On paper I should be fukking with JID heavy cause he can rap his ass off and the talent is there but it never fully connects. Clipse feat didnt disappoint.

I tried to approach project with fresh ears, I can hear influence from 3k, Em, Cole and Dot. Didn't finish album yet, but dope so far. Salute for actually rapping

Like Earthgang, JID is definitely talented but he has some weirdo sensibilities that take me out of a full project from them

JID can rap really well but I just find it bland. Clipse and Vince washed him without all the multi syllables and flow switches. Maybe it’s his voice which makes his presence lackluster because even Ciara and Kilo Ali sounded better than him in his song.

He’s just not for me. He’s a good rapper though.

Great take and summed it up well. Dude can rap and takes the craft of hip hop and creating records seriously and I respect that but his music ain’t for me. I’m glad his fans are enjoying it though
