I see no problem with what he said. You'd be surprised how many nikkas that are considered Trap rappers listen to. Seeing Cam recite Nas confirmed what I always thought. shyt Talib use to be listening to nothing but 50 cent.

You nikkas could say what yall want. none of these new nikkas fukking JID. Ill put that on yo momma.

:comeon:Lyrical hipster backpack rappers pandering to street trap rappers pt 204

Most them nikkas say this to not pigeonhole themselves…. Once you go alllll in on the “I’m a lyricist and that’s all I wanna hear” shyt you’re cooked

This part

nikka listens to everything

And it's normal for people to not listen to the same type of shyt that they make, can fukk up the process if you're subconsciously copying what you've been listening to all day

Funny shyt. I met Leon Bridges once in Dallas at this spot and he tells me he just listens to Future all day :dead:

This doesn’t shock me at all.

Lupe is a big Drake fan too.

Sometimes all that heavy burden shyt is a task and then the ROI is just so low.

Not to mention D Dot was trying to tell yall about this…

Yeah but thats different from not listening to lyrical rap at all, Lupe is a fan of Drake whos actually lyrical, he's also a fan of Nas, Jay Z and whoever, hes not coming out and saying he only listens to Lil Durk.

A nikka tell yall some shyt out his own mouth and yall come up with every theory under the sun as to why he said it. I guess him telling the truth is not an option lol. The fukk wrong with you nikkas. He said he don’t really listen to his style of music and I’m pretty sure he’s being honest. Do yall think conscious rappers only listen to conscious rap? Do yall think street rappers only listen to street rap? If you can have a diverse musical palette, then why can’t a person who is an actual music artist have one?

Its weird to be a 33 year old, and not listen to lyrical rappers.

:hhh:

Cam is literally 3 years younger than Nas, of course he listened to Nas, who is a street rapper as well.

Talib listening to 50 Cent, isn't any more surprising than him listening to D Block, your comparisons aren't great.
