...Just like Terrance Howard had no clue that the Avengers franchise would've become what it did.......But that dude legitimately overestimated who he was, and then turned out was batshyt crazy.

You get the 14 million from rapping cuz how many nikkas get 14 million from rapping? You got to get that money while it's there. Ja would AND DID have other opportunities in the future to get roles to prove his acting ability.Yeah, look at those two number i might choose the 14 mil too.
Unless i was already a charting rapper. There careers never age well, hiphop is a young mans game. If you have an oppoturnity to expand into acting, you are putting yourself in position to make money like that going in your 40s and 50s. unlike with hiphop. I would have found a way to reschedule the tour around the filming
14 mil or 500k?Too good for John Singleton huh![]()
The franchise was dead until Tokyo Drift. Tokyo Drift garnered a major cult following. The success from that got them the green light to make Fast and Furious (F4). Then F4 got them the momentum back, then finally adding The Rock to F5 made the franchise blow up.Luda was intelligent
He already had his rap career, he was planning for his retirement career.
Now dude never has to make another album. Basically can dictate his life as he wants, all because of foresight and a pivot.. not even a hard one too.
By the success and privacy of his life, Luda won so far.
you guys really believe that number? he's just bullshytting to make his decision look betterYou get the 14 million from rapping cuz how many nikkas get 14 million from rapping?

He spoke about it beforeLuda prolly just wanted that check … no one saw fast and furious becoming what it did …even vin left for a bit lol
He’s said fhis before in interviews tho.. unless he’s keeping the lie running for years… I remember posting in the threadyou guys really believe that number? he's just bullshytting to make his decision look better
not that i blame him either way, because dudes are right. in hindsight, who the fukk knew it woulda been a huge franchise![]()
Well,
When you frame it as 14 million vs 500k, that's an easy decision.
If you consider the long term potential of building your brand as a actor as well as a rapper, maybe that 500k job...viewed as an investment...was worth the shot. It's very likely that Ja Rule's music career would have still been fine if the tour was delayed or he just did another one later.
2025 and Ja Rule isn't broke so things worked out anyway.

Do you REALLY believe he was getting $14M on a tour at the time?!?!![]()
2 Fast 2 Furious came out in 2003. Always On Time (Him and Ashanti's biggest record), came out in 2001. So yeah, I think a country wide tour would make that much. Opting to go on a tour following your biggest hit record is a no brainer.
